5.0 out of 5 stars This is one great Rock n' Roll album!
I bought this record not really knowing what to expect and I was completely blown away. This is pop/rock at it's finest. It's like the foo-fighters and The Cars smashed together with real pop accessibility. I highly reccomend this cd for any collection!

2.0 out of 5 stars Good, but I've heard ...
Yes, they are pretty good, but I've either heard better or I've heard more of the same. They are kind of like the "hard" Petra at times, but mostly they are like a lot of other "cookie cutter" rock groups.
As for this particular album: first off, too many of the tracks that sound alike are placed one after the other. Example: Tracks 1 and 2 were so similar that...

5.0 out of 5 stars The Frantics Bring Some Old School Style Back, July 26, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Meet The Frantics (Audio CD)
The Frantics bring back memories of the carefree 80's. This cd deserves a spin in your cd player. Let It Go is one catchy piece of rock that carries you away to the world of good old pop rock. Class Of Whenever is a cool tune that is sure to get you humming. These guys have got it just right. This is one cd that will not soon be forgotten and their cd cover is one of a kind. Most of these guys have gone on to form the new band London Calling. Check out their new cd entitled New Sensation. It is not to be missed.

5.0 out of 5 stars This CD ROCKS!, April 25, 2005
This review is from: Meet The Frantics (Audio CD)
My brother is the lead singer, so maybe I'm a little biased when I say that this is one of the greatest cds EVER! Still, the music is energetic and fun and although it was released by a Christian label, it isn't heavy handed or overly religious and is versatile enough to be a crossover rock cd. My only qualm with it is that there aren't enough songs. 12 is such a sad little number to stop at. :(

I got this CD NINE years ago through a friend and to this day still listen to it and enjoy it every time, I used it in a school report many years ago and everyone in my class loved them and wanted me to burn them a copy of the CD. It's a great listen to, I recommend them!

Example: Tracks 1 and 2 were so similar that I thought someone forgot to change the canned background. I liked #5 a lot (both music & lyrics) and liked #6 OK, but it was so similar to #5 it was ... well, boring.
Also, I agree: that last track was a bit of a "downer" to end on ... they should have ended with "Just Let Go". Simple fix? Get the CD, rip it, burn it back out in your own order. That works. Amen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, October 24, 2005
By
This review is from: Meet The Frantics (Audio CD)
I got this CD free through my youth group, but the music quality definitely surpased any expectations I had.
I especially like Track 12, Be There, which to me is the consummate "Last Song."

Four is also very good, but there is something for everyone on here.

Every person I've played this CD for has enjoyed it.

5.0 out of 5 stars pick of the litter, August 31, 2005
This review is from: Meet The Frantics (Audio CD)
This cd is fun! Like All-American Rejects fun. I knew the lead singer back from church and when he was in a very good band Simple Mystery. As far as this cd goes, it reminds me of weezer. Let It Go was a great lead off single plus i think this cd's signature tune. Not with a bang took on the next single challenge and was simply awesome.

1.0 out of 5 stars Confused?, August 14, 2004
By
This review is from: Meet The Frantics (Audio CD)
You typed in "Frantics" and found this listing, which clearly shows similarities to Dr Demento and other comedic artists.

Now you click on the audio link and notice that this is all Pop-styled rock. Confused? Yep. This is NOT the Canadian comedy troupe responsible for 'Boot To The Head' or 'Last Will & Temperament'. There is also a semi-popular 50's group of the same name. Don't worry, Amazon DOES have the comedy stuff. The 2 albums currently available are "Boot To The Head" and "Frantic Times".
