This workbook and CD are a great tool for introducing children (and their parents!!) to the major periods in Music History, as well as the great composers of each period. The workbook includes interesting information and a one-page worksheet on each composer. The accompanying CD contains awesome examples of the work of these great composers.

I have looking for a teaching tool about the composers and music periods. This surpasses all expectations. It is concise, well written and has fun short activities for kids to do about each composer. I also liked the range of composers listed. I would recommend it for readers 2nd/3rd grade+

highly recommended!

I was very pleased with the content of this book. The composers history was accurate and interesting, although for a more thorough look into their lives, you can supplement with additional books from the library. The CD that came with it was great to have. My kids love learning from this book!

This is a great and fun introduction into great composers. I love the music on the cd. I use it for my homeschooling and my kids got very good at identifying the songs.
