My husband and I heard the author interviewed on NPR, and immediately checked out his books for our 2 1/2 year old Grandson. We've bought a few of Jon Scieszka's books for him now and he ADORES them. My daughter tells me he must have them read to him several times a day. What better recommendation could there be?

Great colorful book with a fun theme for kids. My two year old son and several friends have received books from this series and they all love it. There is also an interactive website to go along with the book series. If you know a little boy named JACK, then this is a fun book for him! Jack the Truck is the main character.

I'm a big fan of Sciezcka's earlier books, but I was pretty floored when I got this book for my 2 year old son. Be aware that the book has discussion of being a "pottyhead" and jokes about the hot pink girl truck who talks too much. While the illustrations are eye-catching, there's no real storyline at all. Very disappointing.

I was extremely disappointed to see the use of "pottyhead" and "potty joke" in this book. My kids love his other truck books but they also were shocked to come across these words. What a waste of an otherwise good book. This one will be tossed in the trash-does not deserve a place on our library shelves.

My 6 month old LOVES this book, he has since he was 3 months old. It must be the vibrant colors, but it will make him stop crying in mid wail. We bring this book everywhere to keep him occupied: plane rides, restaurants, you name it. The story is very poorly written with an emphasis on truck sounds, but it's all in good fun. It's not going to raise your child's literary or grammar skills, but you'll have a good time with it. Especially if your kid's name is Jack :)

love these books! this one was very cute!! my 5 & 3 year old son really seem to have enjoyed it!!

This whole series is great for kids 2 and up. This book got our grandchild to go for a book every time he visited.
