Meet me at the Mediocre
"Meet me halfway" is one of those rare songs whose music videos is superior to the song itself. The Black Eyed Peas' video is impressive, blending science fiction with fantasy. Fergie stars as a wood sprite/nymph, while her bandmates are astronauts/desert nomads. As for "Meet me halfway"--it's a blah song. It almost evokes the bubblegum songs of the '50s,it's that vapid...

"Meet me halfway" is one of those rare songs whose music videos is superior to the song itself. The Black Eyed Peas' video is impressive, blending science fiction with fantasy. Unlike the '50s,it has a pointless rap to serve as the bridge. It would work for a commercial,or as ambient muzak. It's innocuous,but it's not great either. It only goes halfway.

You either like the song or you don't. It's catchy, I like it. What's noteworthy is the quality of the production - this is a good song (if you like it) to test speakers or earphones or earbuds, imho. Best since Steely Dan for making a system sound good (or not)!

This is a really good song. Fergie sounds different in this one, her verses sound like they're from the 80s (which isn't a bad thing). But my favorite part is Apl.de.ap's first verse in the beginning of the song.
