I have never read a book by the Ludys that I have not adored, and Meet Mr. Smith is no exception. Eric's personification of the virtues that lead to "Great Sex" are so enjoyable that readers are in danger of having a serious change of heart without being fully aware of said change. Meet Mr. Smith is probably more helpful for newcomers to the idea of purity in romance. I felt that it was a conglomeration of principles from the Ludys' other books on a God-scripted romance, such as When God Writes Your Love Story and When Dreams Come True. Even so, the Ludys' devoted readers will not be disappointed by their latest work.

Wow. Just moments ago I finished Meet Mr. Smith. Little did I know when I began reading it yesterday that just 24 hours later I would lay the book next to me and find myself a different person.

When the publisher gave Eric the go-ahead to write this book, Eric wanted it to be about Great Sex, since he and Leslie had been very blessed in this area during their 14 years of marriage. Little did he know that God had a different plan. Meet Mr. Smith turned out to be the story of God meeting Eric during the 12 weeks in which he was to write this book before its deadline. In these 12 weeks God taught Mr. Ludy in a new way the glorious building blocks of mystifyingly beautiful sex...

I had a hard time getting into this book in the beginning. The style that Eric chose to write from seemed a bit silly to me at first (a little bit allegorical). But quickly I realized that the revolutionary truths that were placed like jewels throughout the story *far* surpassed the sometimes silly storyline.

This is not your normal sex book. If you are looking for cheap tips or new ideas for the bedroom, buy some other book. But if you are willing to glimpse the face of Jesus Christ in a way you never have before, if you are willing to be taken into a place of enchantment and mystery and see all that our God really had in mind when He created sex...well then, read this book.

I have been married almost a year and am thankful for parents who taught me that sex is pure and beautiful, as well as a husband who truly loves me as Christ loves His bride. Yet, as I read this book, over and over again I was brought to tears of hunger and awe as I saw in a way I never have the epic love story that Yeshua of Nazereth desires each of us to live. It truly surpasses the beauty and valor of any movie or legend.

This book has not only revolutionized my heart in the area of sexual intimacy, but has hit on every area in life, and brought me into a place of deeper worship of the Bridegroom.

As you prepare to read this book, get ready for your hum-drum life to be turned upside down. Get ready for the conviction of the Holy Spirit as He clears away years-worth of lies and rubble in your heart. Get ready to no longer see Purity and Holiness as small, scrawny little nerds, but as the most breathtaking, powerful, enchanting, strong, romantic, and beautiful things you have ever laid eyes on.

Just as God took Eric's pen as he began to write this book, and met him in a radical new way... Get ready for your own encounter with God.

Wow! What a book! I love the way Eric and Leslie approch the subject of Sex and relationships in this book. It is like an alagory that brings the whole subject alive. It makes you realize just how messed up the world and a lot of Christians are when it comes to relationships and instant sex and pleasing themselves instead of finding out God's PERFECT plan for marriage and sex. This book is another hit!!! I love the truth and the purity of God that is throughout this book. All the glory goes to him!! Praise God that Eric and Leslie are getting this message out to people becuase GOD alone is the only one who can make you pure and whole and clean and He is waiting to do it too!!

This has got to be not only my favorite Ludy book, but the most incredible reading experience I've ever encountered. I have read all of the christian dating books on the shelf and Meet Mr. Smith is definitely the most revolutionary. Eric Ludy has taken an approach to sexual purity that no other has taken. This unique, creative and God-inspired piece of literature is a true page turner and will revolutionize the way you think about God and romance. Beautifully written!! I recommend this book to EVERYONE. I buy copies of this book every time I can get my hand on them so I will have one on hand for when I have a friend that could use a great read on true romance. Keep up the wonderful literature Eric and Leslie!

I really liked Ludy's "When God writes your love story" but this one was a waste of time in my opinion. I kept waiting for the meat of the book to present itself and waited and waited to finally get into it. The book is presented as a story which I very much disliked. If you like novels and stories then have at it but I'm an analytically minded person and stories can't keep my attention. It was nothing like what I expected :(

I love all of Eric And Lesie Ludy's books. but this one confused me. Maybe its because I had a hard time understanding it cause of how Erin wrote it. I didn't enjoy this one that much, nor did I really get much out of it.

Its still a good book though. Just not one of my favorites.
