I have read several books by Ms. King-Gamble but this book left me wanting more. I could not like the heroin, Phoenix or the hero, Damon. I know they had a history and they were still attracted to each other, but they seemed not to like each other. I thought their romance was more lust and convenience than the love match.

The mystery was not very exciting. I thought it would have been more exciting and have more intrigue but it was very flat. I will have to take a closer look at the next book by Ms. King-Gamble.

I did not like this book, unfortunately it was very boring and I could not even finish it. Which is odd because I have several of this authors other works and they were pretty decent. This book was just too slow. It could not keep my attention.

I, like the first reviewer thought this was a boring book. I have not finished it. In fact, I have started reading something else. This book did not grab me like her other books have and it was very disappointing for a Kimani Romane novel. I read the other books in this love on the run series....but this one will have to stay on the shelf.
