A very interesting illustated book,

This is a translated version of the Japanese fan book for Sailor Mars (in the anime). It has many details about Rei and her incarnation as Mars. There is some Americanization, but it has been translated pretty straightforwardly. It's everything you'd ever want to know about Sailor Mars, with lots of nice pictures. It includes pictures and references up to the fourth season, SuperS (but it only really covers the first three seasons in detail). I highly recommend it!

Mediocre translation of a great original,

I have the Japanese version of this book, but I read through this version that a friend of mine bought. While I think it is good that they translated these books for fans and made these available, many of the facts and translations are completely different from the original. There is a section for the five best episodes with Sailormars. Some of these come from the later series like S and SuperS, so they don't really make sense and they mix up facts. One of the most annoying part of this was in the best scene sections, it talked about the last episode of the first season. It has a scene from the original Japanese episode (which was two episodes long) that wasn't shown in the american episode. Next to the picture it talks about how Mars fainted after the battle witht he D&G girls and thought of Chad. First of all people, in that episode all the senshi DIE, they don't faint, thats what the picture was! And she was thinking about Sailormoon. It is small inaccuracies like these that are found throughout the book that really takes away from the real meaning of the story. I'm not saying that this book is all bad, its not. If you haven't seen the original version then maybe this book isn't so bad for you. Or if you have, its a good book with all the pictures and basic facts of the original, just be aware of the inaccuracies.

Extremely Dissapointed,

I am an avid Sailor Moon fan and so I buy anything and everything I can. I bought this book for twelve dollars, which is an absurd amount of money for such a small thing. The book contained nothing new to me, there were spelling errors and some captions did not pertain to the actual picture. I would not reccomend buying this book, it is a complete waste of money, and believe me I've spent enough money on Sailor Moon stuff to know when something is good and when something is bad. This is bad.
