This review is from: Meetings: Do's, Dont's and Donuts: The Complete Handbook for Successful Meetings (Paperback)
Every seemingly conceivable aspect, role, psychology, character, and situation in and of a meeting is contained within the two walls of this book.
Sharon M. Lippincott has captured the essences, and devilish details, of practically any meeting within which one might be involved - the good, the bad, and the boring. You will learn, through graphic representations, how meetings work - and don't work - as well as how to prepare for meetings, taking subtle and even overt control of a meeting; and when to just be a passive observer (or not be there at all, in some cases). Roughly every other page contains a table that breaks down the particulars of meetings as addressed in that chapter through modular components. Nothing is left to chance, and there are rare uses of "miscellaneous" to be found anywhere in the book. Sharon's vast experience in the world of educating audiences on meeting protocol and etiquette shows through every sentence offered in over 200 pages of functional, roll-up-your-sleeves advice and instruction.

This is an OK book for reference. However the book is lacking in several areas. Material is not new -- but I really didn't expect it to be. However, there are some tips one may find helpful. If you have money to spend -- buy it -- if not there are plenty of other books that help with meeting management that are a better buy.
