What an extraordinary book! After reading, I'ts DEEPENED my Faith in Mary. At the time I was in the middle of reading the book, I was involed in an automobile accident, this book along with my Rosaries were in my briefcase, she pulled me through the ordeal without any horrendous damage.

Her messages should be loud and clear for all who read with an open heart. She TRULY is here for us, and she shows this through the ones whom SHE chooses to appear. I feel, not only does God work in mysterious way, but Mary too.

The secrets of one of history's greatest role models lie between the pages of this book. Do we know Mary's strength? Do we know her courage? Do we know her compassion? Do we know her wisdom? Do we know her love? Who is this woman many call Mother? MEETINGS WITH MARY chronicles for us in exquisite detail the history of Mary, which then reminds us who we might want to be when we look in the mirror. A deep, penetrating book.

Amazing how many places Mary has appeared in the last ten years. Her messages are chillingly the same. And, if they are not heeded, bad things happen in the region. My hope is that the U.S. is listening. I think so. And I am praying for world peace because of this book.

I thought this book was wonderfully uplifting. Ms. Connell gave a lot of information on the background of each vision. This book will certainly bring you closing in your search for deeper union with our Blessed Mother.

This book opened my perceptions to the reality of the spiritual world all around us. It taught me what the "perfect feminine" is and showed me that there is much about the spiritual world that can enrich every aspect of our present environment. Meetings With Mary is a spendid opportunity to learn, to grow and to rejoice in the goodness of humankind.

This is a wonderful book, in that it helps the non-Catholic appreciate and understand more about the Virgin Mary and her apparations throughout time around the world. Also, the love of the Virgin is appreciated in all aspects of the book. The book is concise, well-written and conveys the love of Heaven throughout all of the stories. In addition, the average man on the street can perfectly understand exactly what the author is trying to convey. Jan Connell has a gift for writing lovingly, accurately, and still getting the point across. In addition, the messages from Heaven are conveyed in a timely manner to all who read the book. I appreciated the way Jan Connell was able to capture so many stories about the apparitions of the Virgin in such a small book, without leaving out the important details, with reference to the apparitions. Jan Connell has again captured the hearts of the people, as she has written about the facts about each Marian apparition, as it has occurred throughout history. My hat is off to Jan Connell for her wonderful style of writing! I have already read and purchased several of Jan's books, as well as circulated them world-wide to many people to whom I minister. I have always appreciated her books, as they help the non-Catholic appreciate and cross over to the Catholic side of enlightenment, with reference to many of the true facts of the Christian Church. May God bless and continue to keep forever the wonderful, loving messages from Heaven in "Meetings With Mary" by Jan Connell!

Meetings with Mary: Visions of The Blessed Mother, by Janice T. Connell, is a wonderful collection of documented appearances of our Blessed Mother to saint and sinner alike. It is wonderfully written and each chapter draws you in as you realize the true importance of The Mother of Jesus, in God's divine plan. This is a must read for people of all faiths, because just as The Father loves us all equally, so does the Virgin Mother. She calls all of her Son's children to pray, fast, and draw closer to God. This book will not disappoint!

This is not a review of the book noted although it is a critique of the so called reviews of Publishers Weekly who are featured on all Amazon.com book listings. I have read many of the reviews presented by Publishers Weekly for a great number of books and am finally forced to ask the question "Why can't Publishers Weekly find reviewers without strong bias one way or the other for the books/subjects they review?" My question is based on all the reviews they have written for any book dealing with apparitions of Mary or other Marian themes. They write from definitely anti-Catholic position. Due to the fact that Marian appartions/themes are often seen as something only Catholics would understand (although Mary comes to speak to everyone)it would seem more appropriate that the reviewers assigned to these particular books would at least be tolerant of all religious beliefs/doctrines, rather than so blatantly anti-Catholic.

I purchased this book because I was very interested to read about the apparitions people have had of the Blessed Virgin. This book starts with apparitions from ancient times with Elijah, goes through the middle ages and Victorian age, all the way to the 1990s. I greatly enjoyed reading about Fatima, Lourdes, and Medjugorje. Medjugorje is fascinating and should be taken very seriously!...all the messages given to the visionaries should be taken to heart. It is so interesting how the Blessed Mother speaks to her children and gives them messages of love and guidance. She strongly encourages us to live in love and to PRAY!

I also do a lot of reading on near death experiences, and I was fascinated with how the description of the afterlife given by NDEers matches that given by Our Lady Mary. That was most interesting.

This was a very good book, I read it in two days, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is needing spiritual guidance, to anyone who adores Our Mother, and to anyone who wants to be guided by Her grace and love.

You will no doubt fall in love deeper with Our lady and pass this treasure amongst others - or that is you should! <smile!>
