5.0 out of 5 stars Louis and the Real Oscar, July 22, 2009
This review is from: Meets Oscar Peterson (Audio CD)
Music, like love, is a many splendored thing. Here's a man - our beloved Louis, who can't sing for sh@!?t, and yet when he puts his heart and soul into it the result is exquisite music right up there with the likes of Ella.

If you want a break from dixieland and want to hear this dear man sing Arlen, Cole Porter, Mercer, Gershwin and other ballads so expressively and with all his might, you will savor this very fine CD. Oscar Peterson, Herb Ellis, Ray Brown and Louis Bellson are terrific, too.

Just a silly thought - It would be fun if Louis had also done a CD with Oscar the Grouch. I want to hear their duets.
