This is probably one of my favorite halo megabloks set.It is great for playing and its an easy build.I only dropped it once but it was easy to build again. But the plasma cannons are just plain gray, not transparent blue, like I expected.

This small kit is much nicer than it looks.

A Banshee is a real addition to a HALO collection.

For a 97-piece kit, it is both fun and a challenge to build.
Their is a right-side left-side series of pieces that require attention during the building.
The wrong sidepiece will force a rework. Other than being exact, the Banshee is an easy build.

If you have the HALO Battlescape, this balances on the large lifting rod without any problems.

Other than details, the figure is the Series 3 pilot.

Overall, this is worth the money, it is a good-looking playable item.

The finished product is a nice, little, impressive model. It definitely has the "SWWWOOOOSH" factor. I can already see it mowing down some of my marine mini-figs. If you would like to build and fly your own mini-Banshee, then this set is for you, my friend.

I think I am spoiled on Lego's, but Mega Blocks probably gets the silver medal as far as building blocks are concerned.

The two major differences in LEGO's and MB is the quality of manufacturing and the building instructions' "user-friendliness." The MB pieces don't fit together as well as LEGO's do. And the instructions for LEGO's could not be any easier to understand, whereas the MB instructions are sometimes hard to understand. But if you are going for more of a challenge, then maybe that works out for you or your kid (depends on the age.)

I also ended up with a bunch of extra pieces and was pretty sure I built it wrong. But I double-checked the instructions and compared my model to the illustration on the box and it seemed identical, so I guess there are just a lot of extra pieces.

That being said, if you are a fan of the HALO franchise, you will surely appreciate the resemblance to the vehicle from the game. It has great playability, and the design is pretty slick. I especially like the metallic sheen of the door piece on top. Another great feature is the hinged door allows you to put the driver in and out.

The stickers are not that bad. Don't know why people always complain about the stickers.

I like the little "transparent" pieces that allow the vehicle to "float" The light blue dome pieces for the engines are also neat.

I think if you are a fan of the Halo games and like building toys, this is a great buy, especially at around $11. (Comes with a Covenant dude with one plasma pistol.) If you are building a HALO Mega Blocks army, this is a must-have!

My 8 year old has been getting into legos something fierce lately, and last month as a Vine member, I was able to get hold of the Megabloks Elephant set. So for xmas, I then got him another half dozen megablok sets to go with it, this among them.
This was the first one we built after xmas, as a "starting" point. This was the smallest, so a good way to get his feet wet again.

The build is pretty easy, and the instructions are laid out as Megabloks do it, with the colored points showing exactly where the pieces get placed on other pieces. Sometimes this works well, but other times (as with the wraith ghost) they aren't quite accurate and you really have to pay attention to where there were mistakes. This one, however, had no issues with the build instructions.

Pieces all fit together very well, had no trimming or anything I had to do (as I had to with the Elephant). Pieces held well, and was solid after building was completed, other than the rear two fins, which are held in only by a couple small plastic pins that insert into the rear of the main body. If someone tries to hold it up by those, they could snap. My son was cautioned how to hold it during play.

As others have mentioned, the top canopy doesn't really stay on well, and it's tricky for an 8 year old to get the Elite figure positioned correctly inside since the head doesn't move up and down so you almost have to position it like it's riding a bike. But it's a fun representation and he loves it.

My grandson turned 10 and he loves these. It is educational as it takes intense concentration to put models together. Only buy if the child or adult (who likes these things too) likes putting together very small pieces and will commit time and energy to doing it.

This is a great gift for any child who loves to build. It gives hours of play time and fun and works well with most any brand of building blocks.

Should have researched better. I feel I was overcharged for this item, I found it on another store 4 dollars cheaper.
