Now only were there no instructions for this toy, there were none on the internet either. Magnetic parts need tweaking so they work properly (ours never did). My 7 year old grandson tried to play with this twice and never touched it again.

Magnext: We received game for gift. My son of 6 years old played with it for about 10 minutes and that was it. No directions, not very enjoyable as most of the gears wont spin. We have the larger version of the one in this picture.

My son got this for his 7th birthday. His review is "I hate this dumb toy". There are no directions that tell you what the toy is even supposed to DO. I guess you're supposed to arrange the gears in such a way that they repel and attract as the one motorized magnet spins. It doesn't work, and it isn't any fun. I wish we could return it - all we can do now is throw it away. What a waste.
