THE PORTAL OF FIRE WAS A SET THAT I DID NOT CARE FOR MUCH WHEN I FIRST SAW IT BECAUSE THE DRAGON LOOK UGLY ON IT.WHAN MY BRITHDAY CAME I WAS SO HAPPY BECAUSE I THOUGHT I WOULD GET MY FAVORITE SET WHITCH IS THE VORGAN ICE FANG. BUT WHAN I OPEN IT THE SET WAS THE PORTAL OF FIRE WHITCH WAS THE SET I DID NOT WHAT.I WAS UPSET UNTILL THE NEXT DAY WHAN I WAS BUILDING IT I FOUND OUT THAT THE DRAGON WAS REALLY COOL LOOKING AND COULD GLOW BOTH THE COLOUR OF FIRE AND ICE AND THAT HE WAS THE BIGGEST DRAGON I EVER SAW AND I FOUND OUT THAT THE SET CAME WITH MY FAVORITE WARRIOR KLAK WHO IS A ICE VORGAN.THE SET CAME WITH SIXS GUYS IN ALL AND THEY ARE KLAK AND XENOZ AND OLSEF AND THREE FYREN WARRIORS.THE SET CONTIANS THE AURATHON KRYSTAL WHITCH IS THE KEY TO OPENING THE PORTAL OF FIRE.THE SET ALSO CAME WITH THE PORTAL OF FIRE AND A DRAGON HEAD DRAW BRIDGE AND THE FYREN FLAG AND A VORGAN THORN.THE SET CAME WITH WEAPONS AND SHIELDS FOR THE WARRIORS AND ONE SILVER COLOURED WEAPON.KLAK ALSO HAS A HEIR ON THE BACK OF HIS HEAD.THIS SET IS KIND OF HARD TO BUILD BUT NOT THAT HARD.WELL I WAS BUILDING THE SET IT STAY TOGATHER WITH NO PROBLEM AND THE SET STAYS TOGATHER JUST AS GOOD WHAN YOU WHERE BUILDING IT.THE DRAGON DRAW BRIDGE WILL STAY ON BUT IF YOU OPEN THE DRAW BRIDGE WRONG THE PART THAT IT IS ATTACH TO WILL COME OFF.THIS SET IS A REALLY GREAT SET THAT YOU CAN STAGE TONS OF BATTLES ON AND YOU CAN CHANGE IT INTO WHAT EVER KIND OF CASTLE YOU WHAT.THIS SET IS VERY IMAGINATIVE AND REALLY WELL BUILD.THIS IS A MUST BUY SET FOR ANY DRAGON COLLECTER OR FOR SOMEONE WHO LOVES MEDIVIAL STUFF LIKE DRAGONS AND KNIGHTS OR FOR SOMEONE WHO LOVES TO BUILD STUFF. THE WARRIORS ARE REALLY WELL DETAILED AND THE SET IS TO AND THE STONE SANTNALS ARE REALLY COOL JUST LIKE THE DRAGON DRAW BRIDGE.THE THING THAT IMPRESSED ME THE MOST WAS HOW VERY WELL THOUGHT OUT AND DETILED THE HOLE PORTAL OF FIRE DRAGON SET WAS.THIS SET IS PROBABLY THE MOST DETILED AND MOST THOUGHT OUT OF ALL THE DRAGON SETS OF FIRE AND ICE.I GIVE TWO THUMPS UP WAY UP!YOU MUST GET THIS DRAGON SET WEATHER YOU ARE OR AREN'T A DRAGON COLLECTER.THIS IS ALSO A CHEAP DRAGON SET TO BUY TO.DON'T MIND HOW IT LOOKS AT FRIST GET IT EVEN THOUGH IT MIGHT LOOK UGLY AT FRIST GET IT YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.THIS ALSO MAKES ME WONDER HOW GOOD THE OTHER FIRE AND ICE DRAGON SETS WILL BE.BUT I THINK THEY WILL BE JUST AS GOOD AS THIS DRAGON SET.OUT OF ALL OF THE MEGA BLOKS DRAGON SERIES AND OUT ALL OF THE MEGE BLOKS PRODUCTS MADE THESE FIRE AND ICE DRAGON SETS ARE THEIR BEST BY FAR. My child loved the assembly process and has enjoyed combining other sets in this series for hours of play. Assembly does require some brain usage - a nice thing in the summer. We like this toy a lot.

This has been a great addition to our collection. We have the Dagon Mountain and the Ice Fang and now Portal of Fire, with 3 kids in the house, everyone has their own tower and dragons.

Mega Bloks has done it again! This was the first of the Mega Bloks series Fire & Ice that I got. Thoron didnt look that cool on the front of the box, but when I built him, I saw how cool he really is! He could harness the power of both fire & ice and could choose either side to fight with. I dont like how his wrists are connected to his arms using ball joints. His arms should be able to bend at the elbows. When the set is totally built its very interesting to look at and even better to play with. You should get this set as it is the core of the series and explains everything. I cant wait till the new metal ages toys come out because they look awesome! Continue the Legend!

This toy is a very fun toy because the peoples armor have such good texture and detail. Dragons portal of fire is a great toy because it comes with the characters Thoron the dragon king, Fyren Olsef, Xenos, 3 fyren warriors, and 1 ice vorgan warrior. This toy also has 2 gaint statues of warriors. It also the castle has good visual texture. Also it has two towers in one. All of these reasons are why the portal of fire is the best toy ever and if anyone eles tells you other wise there WRONG!!!

This is the second Megabloks large Dragon series set I have purchased for my son. He loves all things dragon/fantasy/medieval in nature and even though we were frustrated with the first Dragon set we bought (2 years ago), I went ahead and bit again.

We love the looks of the sets. The dragons are all very cool and we love that all the warriors are unique. My son keeps the posters that accompany the sets on his walls and likes to learn each character's name. We've had some luck constructing some of the smaller sets recently which is why I went ahead and bought the Poral of Fire for his birthday. He is too young to build them himself so that leaves me.

Megabloks could do some work on the illustrations in the instruction book. It is very difficult to determine if you are setting up these large, multi-level pieces in exactly the right place which is entirely necessary if you want to put it all together at the end and have it work. Lego does a much, much better job at their directions. I also find that the Megabloks do not always fit together easily, snap into place or stay connected once you have put them together. This set in particular comes with several columns that are incredibly unstable. You think you have it together, go to add on the next level and the columns slip out of place - extremely frustrating. I am also concerned that once I do get it all together one rough battle and the whole thing might collapse.

However, I must say that my son loves it. Even during the long construction period he was busy playing with the characters and the dragon. Most amusing was the discussion some of the characters were having about the construction of the castle - "wow, this castle sure is taking a long time to be built." "Yes, we were hoping to move in before the big storm comes." and like this.

Will I buy another Megabloks set? I like the smaller ones. My kids love the big stuff. Maybe in two years I will try again - they are awfully cool to look at.

My freind has this toy and its very very fun.Im going to get it for myself with my oun money.Im going to get every dragon set that they make if I can.I just can't wait until I get it.

I heard all Megabloks play sets etc. don't stay together well, but I'm not sure. Really fun to play with, I'm not even done building it and I'm already having a lot of fun with it! But some parts don't fit together. I guess it depends on the set you buy on how many pieces don't fit. I've read reviews where they say many pieces are REALLY hard to fit, but so far only one of those pieces have been like that for me. You just have to get lucky, I guess. It can be frustrating to build, but really fun to play with. I recommend this for any lego/building, dragons, or fantasy fan ages 6-12.

This toy is extrememly frustrating for my 8 year old because the pieces do not stay together at all. He'll put one into place and a few others that were already placed will fall off. The idea is a fun one, and he would love it if he could get it to stay together at least once. He got 3 fire and ice dragon sets last year, but all of them have the same problem. I guess Mega Blocks just can't build "lego pieces" as well as Lego can.

This toy is perfect for kids who like The Lord Of The Rings and other Fantasy Legends.This toy is so Awsum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
