The search for the Pirate Lord's hidden bounty continues as crew members of the Buccaneer and Sea Marauder teams converge on a mysterious tropical island. An innovative "power keg" barrel packaging contains a buildable island environment complete with a quicksand trap and a fort with launching canon. A "dynamite" wick retracts from a power keg barrel and triggers and exploding wall to reveal a monstrous crab-like creature emerging from its lair.

After the skirmish at the Privateer's lighthous the greedy Sea Marauders and mutinous Buccaneers race to a volcanic island rumored to hold the lost treasure of the Lord Pyrate; however, what dangers will be unearthed? Includes quicksand and exploding wall.

So many pieces, lego quality, guys, slime, open for imagination!!! Excellent toy. We got the lighthouse set that is part of the collection and it is just as awesome. There are many small parts (hundreds!) No piece is left out, it even has a shovel for the pirates to dig for treasure and a place you can bury treasure with slime to later discover. Our son is a little young for it but with the help of Daddy he has a great time playing with it! Be prepared to put in hours of time with it. It also comes in a large plastic gunpowder barrel which makes for a nice presentation if given as a gift. I don't know if it is strong enough to last as long term storage but it is working for now. Enjoy!!!

My older son seems to be a pirates fan for lifetime...lol. He got this playset a year ago for his 4th Birthday. This toy is amazing, very well made, goes with handy storage jar... My son spent the hrs playing with it.
So my 5 stars goes exceptionally to the quality and entertaining value of this ite. So now... THE PRICE. On March 19, 2008 i paid $20.67 for this toy... free shipping... order was fulfilled by Amazon. Today i came across the MEGA Blocks Pirates of the Caribbean Playsets since my son asked the ship model of Black Pearl... and i saw this set too... but now for +$277... BlackSheepDeals, ARE YOU KIDDING ME????? Kids playset made of cheap plastic you trying to sell for almost $300??? - That's x10 more than Manufacturer's Price! Amazon should do something with these sellers of ridiculously overpriced items! Because it's really SHAME! So, if you still need this item to add to your collection, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO SHOP AROUND FIRST... google it, check the price, compare with others and then choose where you should order from. This item is great, but it's NOT WORTH +$277.00.
