I bought this building set last Christmas for my son. When we opened the box the police van did not work. I phoned mega blocks and they sent a new van and wand no questions asked. This is not my problem with the set. I bought mega blocks because I was happy with their quality in the bigger blocks and the previous review said that it was durable. It is not durable. Nothing has broken but the parking garage does not stay together, in fact it doesn't even stay together long enough for an adult to build it.

The Mega Bloks Streetz City Pursuit is a fun little building set that focuses on stunts, such as crashing through signs and buildings. The pieces are well-made and pretty easy to set up; unfortunately, the buildings are not very stable since they have paper "walls" for the cars to jump through - you may want to just add some other pieces to make solid walls. You can buy other sets to complete the "city" and it fits perfectly with Lego sets (including the very popular Lego City sets!).

Now, here's the real value in this set - the base plates. This set includes 13 square road base plates and two square building base plates. Guess how much you'll pay for JUST this many Lego base plates, or other base plates sold separately (even without the Lego brand)? If you said from $50 and up, you'd be absolutely right!

Since the first Streetz set I purchased, I've bought two different sets and a second identical set just for the base plates to go with a Lego City set...although the stunts are huge fun, and I plan on putting together multiple sets of Legos and Mega Bloks City sets!

I've bought "off-brand" sets of building blocks before, and have been truly disappointed. However, Mega Bloks offer the same high quality as Lego brand, but at a fraction of the price - and you can often find them at rock-bottom prices during sales, while Lego Brand products rarely ever go below a couple dollars off.
