Mega Bloks Wonder Pets Buildable Fly Boat

I had seen it briefly before my toddler daughter became fanatic about this show. It looked cute and durable enough. I loved the idea that kids can "build" and "deconstruct" it each time for A Rescue. Then I realized that the characters can't all sit in the Flyboat at once...and even worse. It doesn't include the third WonderPet. The whole premise of the show is about how the three little animals TOGETHER with TEAMWORK can do anything. And they only include 2 of them. God help the parent who buys this and their child keeps asking where Tuck the Turtle is. Not even available sold separately for an arm and a leg.

My 3 year old got this for his birthday from Grandma. He LOVES it. A huge flyboat fanatic he even tries to sleep with it. he was horrified that it did not come with Tuck so of course Grandma, who is wrapped around his little finger ran out and bought him the school house set to get him Tuck too. As another reviewer mentioned all three won't fit on the boat, which is probally why it was missing one of the wonder pets in the first place. We have "misplaced" the flag and now all three will fit. It is very durable and my 5 year old and 3 year old constantly fight over who gets to fly it to the rescue of whichever animal they are rescusing today. Overall, our house is happy with the toy, with the minor annoyance of Tuck missing. I expect Santa will bring a second flyboat to our house so each son can have thier own, since it is one of thier favorites.

I just bought this toy for my 2 year old son and 5 year old daughter. Soooo much fun. My son sits and takes it apart and puts together over and over again singing, "What's gonna work? Team work!"

My daughter is able to get three figures (Tuck sold separately)in to the boat at the same time, but it is a tight squeeze. Mega bloks are very durable, easy to build with toys. The set includes 18 pieces in all, 5 are fly boat pieces, the rest are figures and extra blocks. My son can build the fly boat without assistance. One of the blocks is a baby penguin to "save".

I would not pay the current price for this toy. I bought it on clearance at Toys R Us for half that price. I was also able to purchase a big set of blocks that includes all three characters. Go wonder pets, hooray!

*Revision* Upon closer inspection, I discovered that Ming Ming has a notch cut out in back so she can sit directly next to the mast. If you put Ming Ming directly next to the mast you can EASILY fit three characters in the boat!

So, my son got vouchers for his birthday and I told him he could pick what he wanted...yes, my first mistake! I did guide him to the megabloks isle of the shop we were in and pointed out the great big bag etc but he spotted the Diego set first...thankfully I managed to side step that one because the Diego set looked quite fragile and with a very active 8 month baby too I did not want it broken inside the first 5 minutes.
He decided he wanted a wonderpets set, I was happy with that. Nice and chunky, will last forever etc. Great till I noticed that only 2 of the 3 characters were in the set...I did make sure he knew this but he's 3! What a disappointment...and you can't even get the 3rd character seperately!
ANother annoying thing is that you can't fit the set in the fly boat! There are fittings for 6 things but you can't fit anything side by side so only one of charcters ever fit in the boat! Really very poor...that had to be deliberate by the makers. Thankfully, my son hasn't been effected by this hence the 3 stars rather than 2!

I will first say I don't know anything about Wonder Pets. My son is 2 while he's seen the show and can sing parts of the song, he is by no means a fanatic. My negative response to this product is based on the fact that when you put the pieces together, they don't always fit next to each other. The whole point of this kind of toy is creative play. My son wants the two animals to sit next to each other and you can't do that. Or he tries to fit one piece on the boat but then when he gets another piece, it doesn't fit because it's meant to be part of the little island thing.

This is our first time using megablocks and because you can't interchange all the pieces as the child wants, can be frustrating and disappointing for the little one. We've used hand-me-down duplo sets and it seems with those pieces, no matter which ones you use, you can get them to go pretty much any way the child wants it to. And once he has his boat assembled, when he plays with it on the floor driving it around, the pieces sometimes fall off. :-(

Would I recommend this toy? Yes, if your kid is really into wonder pets. No if the cartoon characters aren't a big deal.

This is an adorable replica of the WonderPets Flyboat, fun as a bath toy and buildable. While I have seen other replicas of the Flyboat, this one seems the best as far as toddler buildability and durability.

This is a great toy for imaginative play. If your child loves Wonder Pets, then this is a must have. Unlike the other fly boats that are out there, your child can build this one just like it is done on the show. My son loves putting it together and "rescuing" animals. We have the other Wonder Pet sets from Mega Block and I would recommend getting a few of them with this set so that your child can reconfigure and create multiple play scenarios of their own (especially the Wonder Pets School House Bucket).

I was very excited to find this toy, as my daughter enjoys watching the wonder pets. It is disappointing that only 2 of the 3 wonder pets comes with the toy- you don't get Tuck the turtle. The first thing my daughter asked-Where is Tuck? Mega Bloks missed the mark with this one!

I purchased this particular Wonder Pet Flyboat because it goes more with the tv show, since you actually build it. My granddaughter loves it. The only negative is that it should have come with all 3 characters. Tuck is not included.

What a disappointment that Tuck the turtle was not in the toy! They left out a 1/3 of the Wonder Pet team.
