5.0 out of 5 stars "Awesome"
My 8-year old granddaughter describes this as "awesome!" I don't get it. It fastens together with magnets and can be taken apart easily. When you press a button it roars and its eyes turn red. However, she loves it as does her twin sister. So I guess you cannot go wrong if you get this for either a boy or a girl. They will both enjoy owning it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Magnetic Dinosaurs
I bought four of the magnetix dinosaurs for my five year old son for Christmas. He is crazy about dinosaurs. We had purchased one of the Magnetic men and thought a collection of Dinosaurs would be a good collection. They look good, but fall apart as you play with them. The magnets aren't very strong or durable. I must say they are dissapointing. I would have been better...

1.0 out of 5 stars WASTE OF MONEY, January 12, 2009

I WISH I COULD GIVE THIS TOY NO STARS. MY 5 YEAR OLD SON RECEIVED THIS LAST CHRISTMAS. IT WOULD NOT STAY TOGETHER AT ALL. HE BECAME VERY FRUSTRATED WITH IT. I ENDED UP THROWING IT AWAY A WEEK AFTER CHRISTMAS. YEAH, ITS THAT BAD. HE ALSO RECEIVED THE MAGNA BONES-WHICH I THINK IS A TRICERATOPS. IT HELD TOGETHER MUCH BETTER. I WOULD CONSIDER PURCHASING THAT INSTEAD.

2.0 out of 5 stars Interesting Idea, but Poorly Made, September 15, 2008

We bought this Magnasaurs Tyrannosaurus Rex for our son. He likes the fact that the eyes light up and it roars, which is why I gave it two stars. (He thinks that the dinosaur is cool.) But it is poorly made. The head is too heavy for the rest of the body, so if you try to attach all the pieces, the dinosaur won't even stand up. I had to take off the tail to get the dinosaur to remain standing. It's basically a waste of money.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not Worth It!, December 29, 2007
= Durability:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Magna-Saurs -T-Rex (Toy)
I bought this toy for my four year old son. It is an awesome idea. Take the dino apart. Put it back together. Learn about magnets, the body parts of the reptile, and build hand eye coordination.
The magnets are not strong enough to support the weight of each piece (and the pieces are pretty light). Great idea. Poor quality.
We returned the dino and bought a different type of toy. He was bummed, but you couldn't even say "roar" without the tail falling off :(
I wouldn't recommend this product if you want your child to actually be able to play with the it!!
