Megaman's Best American Representation, February 19, 2005
This review is from: Mega Man Volume 1 Pocket Book (Paperback)
If you're a long time fan of Megaman, you'll adore this collection. Though the writer took a few liberties (e.g. calling the Blue Bomber "Rocky" instead of "Rock"), this is an excellent interpretation of Megaman. On a literary level, it pleases as much as it ought to; the plots are simple to understand, and resemble the "RockmanEXE" ("Megaman NT Warrior") anime's storyline, for example. It's nothing deep, but the original Megaman story never received a whole lot of limelight. Considering the minute amount of reference material these people had to work with, I think that this comic -- especially for a Canadian comic house -- is an awesome creation. Add to that some superb, solid artwork, and you've got a winner. Get it while you can, because Dreamwave Productions doesn't exist anymore!
