A Quick Review on Quickman by Quickman., March 28, 2004

Finally, all my ranting and begging have been answered! They finally made a Quickman figure! Anywho, this toy's pretty cool, the likeness is really good, and it's sturdier than some of the earlier Jazwares Megaman figures. The poseability, while nice, is somewhat limited due to the torso design, and the ball joints aren't very secure. Thankfully, though, the limbs, if they come off, are easily popped back on. While most of the figures come with some spiffy accesories, and extra arms, I think Quicks here was gypped in the accesories department. He doesn't come with an extra arm (whyever he would come with one unless it's a Buster cannon from the one shown breifly in Super Adventure Rockman...), and the weapon accesory? That lil teeny boomerang? I'm liable to lose that thing the minute I take my eyes off of it! All in all, though, this figure's alot more sturdier than some of the earlier figures, and Quickie doesn't suffer from the "loose ball-joint syndrome" that has plagued some of my other Jazwares figures. And just the fact that he's so far the only Robot Master in the toy line, and the only Quickman figure out there, this one was a perfect addition to my collection.

I like robots. They don't like me, however., August 19, 2004

Along with Axl, the blue Bass, and the Nightshade (black) Zero, Quickman is part of the second series of Jazwares' Mega Man line. They are made of a lighter and shinier plastic than their predacessors which makes them much easier to pose and likely to actually -hold- that pose. Series 1 is a more rubberish line which leads to the unfortunate figure slumping over or not being able to stand at all.
The only pitifully silly thing about Quickamn is his blaster weapon. Due to his wrist design, the projectile gets lodged against his hand. Let's hope he never tries to fight... without a working weapon, he's toast.
The trouble with every non-series one figure is that they're easily broken.
Unless you're satisified to stare at their little boxed forms prepare for the worst. The lighter weight comes from low-grade plastics and many of the important joints are hollow, causing their little legs to fall off at the slightest provocation. Only two of the six figures of this line I own have the correct number of limbs and Jazwares is absolutely useless if you can even get in touch with them. As floppy as the original figures were the improved poseability matters not if the toys all become cripples.
A necessary accessory is a tiny little wheelchair. Who knew Mega Man and Barbie's friend Becky would face an epic battle over her set of wheels?

Quickman rules! I just got him today and I already lost his boomarang. Which is super tiny, but then found it after thirty minuts of looking for a tiny peice of yellow and red plastic. He doesn't come with much but the coolness of his helper and himself make up for it.
His legs pop of pretty easy but you can pop them back on. I they make more master robots it be so cool if the made Knightman, Cutman, Shademan, Snakeman, Cenatarman, Shadowman and Geminiman. I give Quickman a 5 for coolness.
