Overall, this side scroller is great looking and plays well for the Saturn, but if you like winning... then this game isnt for you.

This review is from: Mega Man X4 (Video Game)
After three strong titles on the SNES, Megaman X sees his first release on Sony Playstation. The first Playstation incarnation of the X series is undoubtedly the strongest. Boasting anime cutscenes, improved graphics and animation, and the ability to play through the game as both X and Zero, X4 has it all. Despite some pixelation with some of the sprites, the visuals are top notch. The gameplay of X4 adheres firmly to the style of its predecessors, which is in no way a drawback. The music, while not particularly incredible, suits the game properly. Sound effects and character voices are also well done. The controls are generally tight and easy to learn (those who are familiar with the series will have no problem right from the start). Possessing 8 intense maverick levels complete with challenging bosses, this title will keep you on your toes from start to finish. If you're looking for intense side-scrolling action on the Psone or something that differs from the 3d exploration based titles that are now the norm, look no further.
