Just like the original!, November 25, 2010
This review is from: Mega Man ZX Volume 1 (Paperback)
I had both of the original japanese manga since 2008 and the quality of the binding is pretty good.
I was worried the translated version didn't live up to the original version, but it happen to be a copy of exact same quality - I'm very glad for Udon to be that cautious with it.
Both volumes of the Mega Man ZX manga arrived today - although I didn't took the time to read them fully, I did an extense comparison between the original and this one.
Besides the material quality being the same, the cover and back cover carries the same art, and even the page numbers on the index are the same as the japanese.
The american version even have more pages on the end - seven pages with advertising of other Udon books and one page of warning for the reverse reading order.
I was also surprised to see a full-color illustration on the inside of the back cover, as the japanese version was just blank.
My only drawback is that Udon translated a lot of the SFX, which I consider to be part of the author's art and shouldn't be erased or overwritten.
For the die-hard Mega Man fans, just like myself, this book is a must have. For the regular reader who enjoys their action-packed manga, the book is also a nice read. Definitely recommended!

Pretty good!, August 22, 2010
This review is from: Mega Man ZX Volume 1 (Paperback)
I got my copy at my local comic book shop. I have played the game that this manga is based on. Let me explain why I rated it 4 stars instead of 5. In the game you have the option of choosing a male hero, Vent or a female hero, Aile. This book only features Vent. I would have rated it 5 if you had the option to 'flip' the book over and read Aile's story. I did enjoy the story and art. The characters are all drawn and written pretty good.
This is a HUGE improvement over the DISS-APOINTING Mega Man Zero manga. Wich I hope Udon never translates.
