Chock full of both single player and multiplayer action RPG gameplay and adventure for your Nintendo DS, Mega Man Star Force 3: Black Ace is the most thrilling addition to the Mega Man Star Force series yet. In addition to its established card-based battle system, this new addition to the series also introduces the new "Noise Changes" feature, random enhancements that change Mega Man's form and unlock new abilities.
In Mega Man Star Force: Black Ace, players travel between the physical world and the digital world via electromagnetic waves that form wave roads. Geo Stelar, the protagonist of the game, can see these wave roads through usage of his unique visualiser tool. Once in the digital world, Geo can merge with the electronic life-form known as Omega-Xis to become Mega Man. And Mega Man's help is definitely needed. The wave roads are being overrun, systems are going out of control and viruses are increasing in aggressiveness due to the mysterious noise, generated by Meteor G, an approaching gigantic asteroid. Something must be done about this threat to both the physical and digital worlds of Mega Man Star Force 3. Fortunately, Mega Man discovers that as dangerous as the noise is, he can also control it using the new Noise Change system to transform into Black Ace form. Gameplay As in the previous games, Mega Man Star Force 3: Black Ace is a unique blend of action and role-playing game (RPG), combining the high intensity combat that is the hallmark of Mega Man games with Star Force’s strategic battle system. The game's action unfolds in an episodic fashion, with players exploring, collecting items, and defeating enemies to progress the story. When enemies and bosses are defeated players are awarded "battle cards" that enhance and evolve Mega Man’s abilities and attacks. Red Joker Game Integration Black Ace is only half of the Mega Man Star Force 3 experience. The story and action are integrated with the game's companion release, also for Nintendo DS, Mega Man Star Force 3: Red Joker. Black Ace players with friends who own Mega Man Star Force 3: Red Joker can share unique items and powers back and forth by utilizing the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection, thereby enhancing their individual characters and digging deeper into each game. The megaman games are classics, and they're all wonderfully designed. The Star Force series is no exception. Not as good as Battle Network but still a LOT of fun. It doesn't rely on the touch-screen very much which is pretty convenient but what reliance it has isn't too hindering. I wouldn't say this game is quite as good as Star Force 2, but it's still very good so far.

MEGAMAN STARFORCE 3 Blackace/Redjoker It is an okay game. Like the games before it, it has its own fighting style. It may seem boring going only side-to-side but it has fast action and a good story and is somewhat addictive. You just have to know what will happen next. [Even though the name is a little misleading considering that the Blackace and Redjoker are never mentioned and are mandatory in the game after it's possible to go it before, it is still a good game.] No matter what, Capcom never fails to surprise me. I give it an 8 out of 10. If you're a Megaman fan, this is a game for you.
