Mega Man 6 inch Articulated Action Figure-Protoman

Unlike Street Fighter and soon to be Darkstalkers, Megaman hasn't had any definitive action figures. Jazwares was supposed to fix that but all of their figures have had mixed results.

Protoman is from the 3rd series of figures. He comes with a mini translucent Bass figure, his shield, his buster arm, and a buster shot.

Ok, weirdness time! The shield has a hole in it for what looks like a handle so Protoman can hold it. No such accesory is found in the package. Also, previous Megaman figures with buster arms were spring loaded so one could fire the buster shot. Protoman had no spring and no button either. The shot simply slides in there. So there's one dip in quality.

Sculpt wise... Meh. It looks like Protoman and has the iconic Megaman big feet. But he seems very narrow. And the figure over all lacks a certain energetic quality that surprising, Jazwares captured in their Retro series.

Oh and the scarf is a piece of plastic stuck to the figure. They could have thrown some soft rubber on there or something.

The articulation is pretty basic and gets the job done. The elbows look bad though with sharp cuts on them. The feet could have used a wider range of articulation too. Can't complain too much here.

Overall, it's a decent rendition of Protoman but lack of a spring loaded buster gun and no way of holding the shield seems like such a HUGE oversight that it makes everything else on the figure that's bad stand out even more.

Sorry Jazwarez, but this protoman really sucked.
The overall figure was shaped well, but the "Missile" that it comes with doesn't go into the blaster, as there is no button to shoot it with. You have to pose him like the picture just to get his missile to stay in there.
The Shield, which is by far is signature "Weapon", can't fit on him at all, it didn't have anything on the shield to grab on to with mine. It had a hole and thats about it. I tried everything to get him to hold it and finally had to use Super Glue.
Sorry Jaz. If this is a Machine error, I would like another if not, please customers think before you buy.

Product seems durable, it is for my 8 year old and so far he hasn't complained that the pieces are coming off. It was nice to find a product that was still in its store package and at a resonable price. The shipping package was decent and it arrived really fast. I am extremely pleased.
