I first read this book back in the 80's. I was just married, we had our first child, and we were taking things like nutrition seriously. The East Village health food store counterman, where I had just brought my Champion juicer, recommended that we check out this book. So we got it. What a fantastic book! We learned so much about nutrition, allergies and techniques that help you control your health. I learned that each of us have a specific nutritional need and that our present diet may not be meeting those needs. We also, each of us, have specific reactions to different types of foods, chemicals and the environment. Dr. Newbold's book goes into how you can determine for your self what your specific nutritional needs are. Would 500 cc of vitamin C be enough or do you really need 15,000 cc? Do you need to take iron or is your diet satisfying that need? Are you allergic to tomatos? Butter? How do you know what you are allergic to? This book will help you figure this out. It will give you a program to follow that will show you what your nutritional needs are and what you are allergic to from foods, household items and the environment. I highly recommend this book.

I bought Dr. Newbold's book at a barn sale over ten years ago. Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. It tied together so much of what I had learned about food and nutrients. The importance of Magnesium also was important for me to understand. Thank you Dr. Newbold.
