The case I received is not the real Fujifilm case, but what else would you expect for 10-15% the cost? The case does exactly what it should; it protects the camera and keeps it ready without a bulky camera bag. The top/front flap attaches/detaches with two snaps on the bottom surface of the case, closes with a magnet (also at the bottom), and when removed, the case sits attractively in the remaining half case. Attractive, classic vintage look with some extra protection and grip. The top/front flap WILL go over the lens with the thread adapter for a lens hood still attached, but obviously not with the hood itself.

The finish is an artificial material, but looks good. A little more "pebbly" than real leather would be, and doesn't feel as long-term durable, either--I don't think this is going to be a battle-tested, 50-year-old leather case like you'd find on an antique Argus, but the camera won't be, either. As reviews on other listings have alluded, the fit is not exactly perfect, it seems there is too much padding on the bottom of the case, causing the camera to sit just a little too high for the focus switch hole and the strap lugs. Everything fits and the case will snap over the lugs, but there's a little more tension than the OEM's perfect fit. The focus switch is still fully accessible, just a tiny bit offset. The strap that comes with the case was uncomfortable to wear for any amount of time: plastic stitching between rubber/plastic material lining a strap made of the same material as the case. Both are stamped X100.

Still gets four stars, since functionally the item performs just as well as the MUCH more expensive OEM. Fully recommended if you don't want to spring for the $120+ authentic case, but realize you aren't getting the same thing. Unless you just HAD to have the real thing, I'd recommend this every time.

PROS:
- Nice affordable price
- Nice appearance
- Protects camera without adding too much bulk
- Doubles as a half-case which is pretty convenient

CONS:
- Not very durable, be gentle with this case!
- The left side slot for the focus switch is not large enough to have the whole switch visible, but large enough for me to easily change modes.

Overall I'm very happy with this product, it would have been nice if there was an opening or flap on the right side of the case so that I could easily upload photos without having to take it out of the case, but it's no big deal.

I bought it a few months ago and use it daily. I'm pretty hard on my equipment and it has held up well. I never used the strap so I can't really comment on that. 4 stars only because you have to peel the bottom interior piece of leather to make the camera fit.

I like it, but it's difficult to get off battery from camera, I have to take camera from case for it.
