MegaRed Omega-3 Krill Oil provides an optimal combination of omega-3 fatty acids, phospholipids, and the powerful antioxidant astaxanthin to support your heart health.*
Supports Cardiovascular Health With Omega-3 Fatty Acids*
MegaRed contains oil from 100 percent pure Antarctic krill, tiny crustaceans that thrive in the pristine waters of the Antarctic Ocean. It provides an optimal combination of omega-3 fatty acids DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaeonic acid), essential fatty acids that may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.** MegaRed has been shown to significantly increase your omega-3 index in just 30 days.*** The Omega-3 Index is a measure of the amount of omega-3 fatty acids in your body's cells. A higher Omega-3 Index is associated with better cardiovascular health and other health benefits.
No Fishy Odor Or Aftertaste
Because the omega-3 fatty acids in MegaRed krill oil are carried to the body's cells in phospholipid form, they are easily recognized, incorporated, and utilized by your body. MegaRed Krill Oil mixes well in the stomach for efficient digestion. Importantly, because MegaRed omega-3's are carried in phospholipid form, there is no fishy aftertaste.
Small Softgel Is Easy To Swallow
One softgel per day is all you need, and each MegaRed pill is small and easy to swallow.
Sustainable Krill From Responsible Sources
In an effort to promote sustainable practices, MegaRed krill oil is sourced from the Antarctic Ocean where krill are abundant. The krill are harvested well below international catch guidelines from sources that use eco-harvesting, ensuring that only krill are harvested and not other marine animals. MegaRed's source for krill oil has been certified by an independent nonprofit organization that sets voluntary standards for well-managed and sustainable operation of fisheries.
Warning: Contains shellfish (krill).

I stopped the Lipitor and went on a low fat diet (20% fat) with Mega Red. To be fair I am also taking a proprietary 3-6-9 omega oil blend as well (Udo's Blend) although it is not clear that this affects cholesterol levels and makes no claims to. I have been on the Mega Red for about 2 months and the low fat diet for about 2 weeks and got my levels rechecked. Total cholesterol went from 240 (pre-lipitor) to 179. LDL from 160 to 119 and HDL from 35 to 40. All as good or better than I got on 20 mg of Lipitor.
Now I no longer have to worry about muscle breakdown and my LFT's are normal for the first time in 4 years. As an added bonus I can get this locally for about $27 for a 4-month supply (with coupon and buy-1-get-1 deals) which is about 1/4 the cost of Lipitor. Well this is one anecdotal success story so take it for what it's worth. I have put a lot of energy into exercizing and going low fat as well so under those circumstances I can say that it seems to work for me andI am very happy with the results.

OMEGA-3 FATTY ACIDS: Omega-3 fatty acids are what make krill oil and fish oil so beneficial. There are three major components of omega-3 fatty acids in these products: EPA (which is good for your heart, circulatory system, lowering triglycerides, depression and mood orientation, and is a powerful anti-inflammatory for soothing joint pains), DHA (which is good for your mental acuity, or if you are pregnant, nursing an infant, or for children), and "other." Other omega-3s, like DPA and SDA, are types of fatty acids which are easily converted to EPA in the body. In most fish oils, the amount of these other fatty acids is low, but in highly concentrated oils, it can be a significant amount. The important components are EPA and DHA.
KRILL OIL VS FISH OIL: Krill oil is an omega-3 nutrient and is an alternative source of omega-3 than fish oil. Some folks prefer krill oil over fish oil because they believe it has increased bioavailability and better absorption than fish oil, and contains the additional nutrients, Astaxanthin and Phospholipids. In fact, this is correct. Krill oil has better bioavailability and absorption than fish oil and contains Astaxanthin and Phospholipids, neither of which are contained in fish oil.Read more ›
I work with kids with warts on their hands, and lo and behold, I ended up with several warts myself and tried everything to get rid of them. Then, I took Krill oil (MegaRed) as suggested by grandma, and after I consumed about one container, I noticed my warts disappearing. To this day, I swear it works. I've had periods where I ran out or forgot to take krill oil supplements, and the warts would just return. The moment I start taking krill again, voila, the warts are gone just as quick as they came. In fact, once the krill is in your system, even if you stop taking it, and start it again, it seems to act quicker than the very first time you take it. Hope this helps all wart sufferers!
