5.0 out of 5 stars Simply MEGADETH
This video is another compilation of videos from the Countdown to Extinction album. This is a must have for MegadetH fans out there who like seeing there fav band's videos. We all know that they have good videos but MTV would never play them anymore because of other new age music. But any way if you want to see videos from one of my fav albums then buy, buy, BUY. Symphony of Destruction was the first single released by Megadeth to promote their megahit 1992 album Countdown to Extinction.

The disc features three songs. The first is the "radio mix" of the "Symphony of Destruction". Oddly enough, the radio version doesn't shave any of the song's length for the sake of radio (not that I've ever heard Megadeth on the radio...

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty cool videos, April 24, 2003

Some of these videos are cool right through. Some are cool at parts. Ex. Symphony of Destruction has a cool part when the band is shown and some other scenes too. Go to Hell is brilliant right through, scary and weird. The best thing about the go to hell video is when they have edited so that you can see what all of the instruments are playing at once. This is a pretty short video, and it[is too bad] that it is only avalible in America. However, besides all original videos you get to see some live videos. Cool, even if it had been cool to hear someone from the band present each video or to throw in some extras. Hope this will come on DVD soon.

3.0 out of 5 stars Neat single, now obsolete, August 29, 2009
Symphony of Destruction was the first single released by Megadeth to promote their megahit 1992 album Countdown to Extinction.

The disc features three songs. The first is the "radio mix" of the "Symphony of Destruction". Oddly enough, the radio version doesn't shave any of the song's length for the sake of radio (not that I've ever heard Megadeth on the radio in the first place). The second song is a studio b-side called "Breakpoint" that for a while at least was exclusive to this release. It's a snarling thrasher that would have been right at home on Countdown to Extinction. The final song - "Go To Hell" - was featured on the Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey soundtrack, and is one of my all-time favorite Megadeth tracks.

Unfortunately, the Symphony of Destruction single was made obsolete in 1995 when the Hidden Treasures rarities collection was released. Since Hidden Treasures has both "Breakpoint" and "Go To Hell", there's really no reason to own this single unless you really feel compelled to hear that radio remix of "Symphony of Destruction". Yeah, I didn't think so either.

4.0 out of 5 stars Still a worthwhile video!!, September 22, 2005
This review is from: Megadeth - Exposure Of A Dream [VHS] (VHS Tape)
With the exception of Symphony of Destruction, none of the videos on this tape have been converted to DVD as yet, which makes this video valuable if you are a completist Megadeth collector.

One thing Megadeth has never done is to release a live concert VHS video. (or DVD as yet).

4.0 out of 5 stars This video could have been better., June 18, 1999

This review is from: Megadeth - Exposure Of A Dream [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I really liked the videos themselves, however, it could have been improved tenfold if only some of the members of megadeth would have introduced the videos or at least come out and said something. Also, the version I have is the laser disc, great video and sound.
