Use with discretion,
This review is from: Megadeth - Selections from Peace Sells...But Who's Buying? and So Far, So Good...So What! * (Paperback)
I got this book because I have the utmost respect for Mustaine and anyone who's ever played with Megadeth, and if my band ever covers them, I want to NAIL the solos note-perfect. That being said, I believe the solos are transcribed quite well. The riffs, however, are a little dodgy. So far, I've gone through Peace Sells, which has pretty decipherable riffs and chords to begin with, but I've noticed a few errors that are pretty obvious. I would suggest use this book as a guideline, but not verbatim. Also, the book leaves out the fact that these songs are tuned down about 1/4 step from A440.

Not accurate enough!,

The transcriptions are close but not accurate. You'll really have to listen to the recordings to decide what is correct and what is wrong. Some of the things I found are; fully spelled out major, minor chords where it is clearly a power chord (with no third) being used. Also, like most transcriptions that include notes & tablature, the notes are correct but the tab shows the wrong positions.

Great Songs - Bad Transcription,
By
This review is from: Megadeth - Selections from Peace Sells...But Who's Buying? and So Far, So Good...So What! * (Paperback)
Megadeth is a fantastic band and the songs included in this book are all great songs however, these are some of the worst transcriptions to the songs I've ever seen. I can figure them out better myself with a banjo and earplugs!. The book would honestly only be any good for getting the very basic chords to the songs. If you are an average player or better, don't bother with this book.
