Hand Held Mega Mite Megaphone with Siren for Emergencies. Great for Cheerleading, Sporting Evets, Picnics, Boating and More

I really never get along with my neighbors no matter where I live. I just hate other people's noise, especially people who are arrogant and don't give a flip how much noise they make. So I bought this just in case things go ballistic. This sucker registers through concrete walls!

The Mega Mite megaphone is seriously one of the most craptastic products I have ever purchased. Just a disclaimer - I did not purchase it through Amazon.com. I bought it directly from the seller's website (Gitway) because it was a bit cheaper.

The main problem with the megaphone is that the battery case keeps popping open. The megaphone takes 4 large C batteries - as a result the 4 springs that hold the batteries exert a lot of force on the outside of the battery case and push it out. The case latch is very flimsy and can't hold the batteries in.

I had to tape the case shut with some duct tape.

The second problem I had was there is a little plastic piece for the volume control - it fell off the first day and got trapped in the electronics compartment. I had to unscrew the megaphoneto take it out.

The final problem is that the megaphone is not very loud. I've left the volume at the very highest level and it is still not that loud. I haven't bothered to replace the volume control tab because there will never be any reason for me to lower the volume. You need it on maximum volume for it to be barely operable.

Don't make the mistake I did and purchase the cheapest megaphone out there. Spend a little more and get something quality. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for here.

I love my Megaphone! As a wedding consultant/coordinator I knew I needed something to help me through my rehearsals. I used this at one of my last wedding rehearsals and it allowed me to project my voice and gain the attention I needed to run a smooth rehearsal. If I had to mention a con, I would say that I wish the volume could be 2 - 4 more notches higher. All-in-all this was a great investment!

Excellent, Sturdy, durable megaphone. It has a volume control which is nice and the handle folds down. The siren is a huge hit too. Our son loves it and us adults and bigger kids have fun with it too. IT is a great buy. This should last a long time not like the other megaphones I looked at that were a cheap plastic, tho they might work ok. Not sure, but this megaphone is sturdy and GREAT! It really works well.

this product is very profesional for people that work. and the price is the best.

I love this megaphone's power, but the construction is poor. I am on my third one. They sent a replacement for the first one, because the handle came loose. Then the handle came loose on the second one. I traded that one directly to the manufacture (who was local) and then I put MONSTOR glue on the screws in the handle before it had a chance to come loose. Now, my new glued bullhorn is awesome!
Call me crazy, but I loved the "Black color and wanted the powerful sound this unit delivers so I kept trying. So far after 2 months the handle has not loosened.

Very good volume, like the siren. Use it on occasion when the kids are making so much noise that they do not hear me call them downstairs. I have also used it to holler for the kids to come in the house when it is time for dinner. I use it to joke around sometimes. Just don't ever use it in someone's ear!

We have used the megaphone for a small march and it was ok. It cannot be used for a speech with a big audience or in a march with too many people. However you get exactly what you pay..
