Almost perfect...but still great!, June 13, 2000
This review is from: Megazone 23 Vocal Collection (Japan Anime) (Audio CD)
Megazone 23 was the first anime soundtrack I ever listened to and to this day it's still one of the best I've heard. The price is a bit hefty but it' s the average going price for most japanese imports. The only problem I had with this cd was that it was missing the ending song from part 3 of the Megazone series. I personally don't speak japanese so I can't exactly tell you the title of the song is. I was quite suprised that it wasn't included since it was such a memorable tune for the climax of the series. It's like having a "Greatest hits" album and not having your biggest hit available.
Other than the missing song, the quality of the cd is great, the rest of the songs are catchy and fun to listen to.

I purchased this for Kumi Miyasato's beautiful ballad Kaze no Lullabye (track 4). The anime itself may have been less than memorable except for its exceptional music. You'll enjoy the 80s style music if you can get past the sticker shock. One review says the ending song from part III is missing. It's there. It's the first track--Higeki no Idol sung by Saki Takaoka.
