This is an absolutely awesome product! I purchased a new car 5 months ago and vowed to keep it looking great. I found out that Meguiar's makes premium car care products.

Here's what I like about it. It sprays on smoothly and gets off the surface dirt. (You know, the green pollen that is falling on my new car this time of year?) It wipes off easily with a chamois towel or terrycloth. Also, it leaves the car smelling great.

It is only used on the car's exterior. For the rest of the car there is a whole line of Meguiar's products. I also bought the leather cleaner and car shampoo which I will review later.

So for all you guys and gals who want the car looking terrific in between washes, I highly recommend this product.

I treated my paint with Ultima Sealant - don't know if that in conjunction with Quik Detailer contributed to the mess...
In any case, Quik Detailer, esp. when humid, does NOT buff out to a wet looking shine.
When used as directed - dust swept off, 1 microfiber for application, 1 for buffing - it leaves a streaky haze that DOES NOT BUFF OUT.
Its like trick birthday candles - buff it off, and it seems clear for about 5 seconds, return and the smeared haze is back again worse than before.

The haze looks like someone wiped butter on the paint and let it dry.
It came off ok after a water wash luckily - I will never, ever go back to it.

I got drastically different results with Griots Speed Shine - buffed off clean and clear with no work and left the paint looking wet and seemingly slightly improved - honestly seemed to even out the texture, lessening the appearance of surface imperfections.

I love this stuff, works great with most claybars as a lubricant. BUT! only one bottle won't get your whole car, and at this price...

I buy em at a local store, when they go on sale for buy one get one free, at $6.49 ea. Take a look around.

Product: Meguiar's Quik Detailer is a quality product that should be on everyone's list to take to car shows. It does a superior job of removing that last bit of road dirt, bug remains, finger prints and other stuff that detract from your show car. Meguiar's is at least partially responsible for the awards that my 1931 Ford has received in past shows.

It really works. I use it exactly as it states you should: for touch ups.
A bird dumped on you car? it works. Rain stains on your hood? it works.
love this product.

I always keep a bottle of this and a microfiber towel in my trunk to remove bird droppings and other spots before they get baked into the paint of the car. Sometimes it works best if you spray a small amount on the spot and let it sit for a few seconds before wiping off. I have been using for years on a black car and it works great overall, plus you get a nice shine after wiping it off.

At the time I bought this it was more economical to buy this one over the 16 oz. I am a frequent user of this stuff. As I suspected the bottle is probably too heavy for some for doing detailing, so I plan on pouring the solution into the smaller bottles I have laying around. It works well enough and I don't see the need to upgrade to whatever the higher level quik detailer is called.

I have been using this on my repainted convertible since I got it back from the paint shop. After waiting for the paint to cure, then adding three coats of tech wax every two weeks for two months, I started using this between waxes to keep it looking like brand new. A bottle is good for two dozen applications if used properly. Only problem was the trigger on the spray bottle broke around half way through. I had to put the rest into a generic spray bottle.

I bought this item to use with my clay bar, this bottle is larger than the bottle that came with the Meguiars claybar kit. Works great...though I noticed the color of the product was diffrent from the smaller bottle from the Meguiars Clay bar kit. Both works the same...good price too.

Use it with clay bar before buffing.

Also use it after wash to give a nice shine.
