5.0 out of 5 stars Make this your standard leather conditioner

Multi use great product overall. It does not have the strong odor that most leather conditioners have. I apply this once a month to my black car seats and it almost brings it back to life especially those folds on the seats that wrinkle up too much and appear to "lose" color.
Just remember to use some extra microfiber towels to dry the conditioner off, you...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not great, but OK
This product is a pain to use. I found my bottle to be extremely difficult to squeeze - probably because it seems to be a slightly liquified version of saddle soap. It requires a lot of scrubbing to lift dirt. It permanently filled in the little holes in the seating surfaces. This product is a pain to use. I found my bottle to be extremely difficult to squeeze - probably because it seems to be a slightly liquified version of saddle soap. It requires a lot of scrubbing to lift dirt. It permanently filled in the little holes in the seating surfaces. This product didn't make much of a difference when it comes to conditioning - the seats still look dry and texture didn't improve.

The other day, I tried the Turtle Wax T485 ICE Total Interior Care. It did a much better job lifting dirt and improved the texture some with NO WORK. I'd pick that product over this one, since you can use it over all of your interior surfaces and reduce your car car products.

EDIT: After running out of Ice Total Interior Care, I bought some Lexol 1115 Leather pH Cleaner Spray 16.9 oz. (500mL). As a liquid soap, it's super easy to apply. Since it's glycerin based, it won't dry out your leather. It even works well on smooth leather shoes! Follow up with their conditioner spray and you've got an awesome combo to keep your automotive leather in the best possible condition.

Just remember to use some extra microfiber towels to dry the conditioner off, you don't want to be flying off your seat every time you brake! :)

I also use this sometimes on my leather jackets and a bit on my formal shoes too!

This stuff rocks. It softens the leather and protects it. Any minor blemishes or wear marks just disappear. I would highly recommend this product.

3.0 out of 5 stars A Competent but Not Stellar Product that Requires Elbow Grease, August 4, 2008
This review is from: Meguiar's G-7214 Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner and Conditioner (Automotive)
I have used earlier versions of this product for years in my cars and had very good results. Recently I used this new Gold Class leather cleaner/conditioner but had mixed results. If your leather is not very dirty, you'll probably be pleased. But as another reviewer has rightly noted, this product seems to require a LOT of elbow grease if you are to successfully remove stubborn stains or ground in dirt. One good thing .. it did not darken my leather, which is a plus for those with light colored leather interiors.

Update: Since writing the above review I tried the Zymol Z507 brand leather cleaner. It is head and shoulders above the Meguair's leather cleaner, and any other, in my opinion. The Zymol leather cleaner removed years of ground in dirt and grime in mere minutes, with no heavy rubbing required. It left my leather soft, supple, and smelling great. Do yourself a favor and check out the reviews for the Zymol product and then give it a try. You'll be delighted! Zymol Z507 Leather Cleaner, 8 ounces

This definitely is one of the more annoying leather care to apply. Rub in, let sit, rub off excess with clean towel. Definitely requires some elbow grease, but hey..my leather was clean, and felt nice and comfy again. The spray on easy wipe stuff doesn't work like that...I guess all good things always require a bit more elbow grease, but this is a great product. I used it on my leather couch too.

My vehicle is brand new and to protect it against the sun, is my objective. It takes out light dirt easily but this is no stain remover. There is a subtle scent that is not over-powering which does not mask the new car scent.

The leather is soft and there is no excessive glossy appearance - nor is there a slippery feel after application.

I highly recommend this product.

I used this product on my vehicle's leather seats. (1998 Aurora) It didn't do as good of a job as I had expected. I didn't notice much difference in the appearance after using it, and my seats are just a touch on the slippery side now. The scent isn't too bad...not overpowering or "smelly". :)

4.0 out of 5 stars Better conditioner than cleaner, December 2, 2009
By
This review is from: Meguiar's G-7214 Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner and Conditioner (Automotive)
This product cleans, but not heavily. So if you have a dirt or soil problem, you should probably clean it with soap and water first and use this product as a conditioner only.

It is thick and a bit goopy, so if the leather has any 'features' it will collect around stitching, holes, and so forth.

I like it as a conditioner, its smell is very inoffensive and mild, and it does what it says it does.

But everyone else who said it takes some work is right; this stuff takes some work to get best results. I still find the work worth it.

Have also used on leather bomber jacket, gun holster, and gloves

I purchaced this item for a used pickup that the original owner used Armor All on the leather. It cleaned it quite well and is not as slick as the other stuff. Good purchase.

I have leather seats in my 01 chevy silverado, and this product did clean out the dirt from those seats. It also provided some protection to the seats. To me it seems I will need to use this product at least once a month to keep my seats conditioned and protected.

It does not do a spectacular job, but it does what it's suppose to do.
