I purchased this unit to resolve swirls and other imperfections on my classic Chevy car. This unit is easy to use and did a good job on most of the imperfections that I attempted, and certainly resulted in the best finish my car has had since it was repainted in 1979. However, being that it's not a professional rotary unit, I was unable to remove the deepest of scratches and swirls. In understand that a professional unit requires skill in order to prevent damage to the paint while using it, so it's just as well that I purchased this unit instead of a pro model. In any case, the entire process was far faster and better with this polisher so it certainly was worth the money. I gave this rating 4 stars instead of 5 stars becuase the handle and backing plate need to be disassembled for it to be placed back into its plastic carrying case, which is an inconvenience.

A camping trip left both sides of truck BADLY pinstriped. Some were pretty deep. I didnt have high expectations of this little machine but i figured i can get the most of it out and have a pro finish the job (in the past i've paid $$$ to have moderate pinstrips removed).
Used it with Meguiar's 105 and 205 and the recommended pads and it did the job, but it did take a few applications. Pinstripes removed and trucks shine restored. If you look closely, you can still see the deep ones but you have to be an inch from the truck to notice.
This machine is light-weight so you can use for extended periods (it took 6 hours from initial wash to final wax). the noise level is low and the vibration isn't bad if you take breaks between sections (think massager).
This polisher is a must have for any off-roader/camper/wax enthusiast and is well worth it. It doesn't come with pads, some assembly required and you will need an extension cord.
I'm not a pro, NOT AT ALL. I'm just a girl who likes to get her truck dirty. Next time i'm getting striped, it wont hurt as much...Plus i can throw a post-roading clean up party!

Worked well until last week. Power cord either has a short and/or loose wire. Sending back to Meguair's to repair or replace. Clients have been very happy with the results and I couldn't have done it without this buffer.

Upon my research for a polisher I couldn't decide between the Meguiars G110v2 or the Porter Cable model. The Meguiars G110v2 with the pad kit was the same price as the Porter Cable kit but it came with a bag so I bought the Meguiars G110v2. I used it on both of my cars and it worked great! It did the job just like it said it would. It removed light scratches and did a great job. But best of all it was easy to use and I had to apply little pressure to get great results. I did each car 4 times each and was not tired at all. It sure saved alot of time and hard work for these great results. I highly recommend it.

This is my first polisher and so it took me a while to search and buy a product which would work for a first timer. Meguiar makes great product. Using it is very simple, not much to set up. It gives an amazing finish to the car.

One problem i did notice was that it vibrates a lot and so you cant use it for more than 5-10mins at a time. I dont know if this is a problem with all polishers.

Everything was going pretty good with this machine until I got it. It does not have a foam pad. It does not come with it. I talk to a girl about this machine and she said that It does come with the foam pad... not true. Other than that, it is great machine. I used at least 10 times a day (every car I polished) and it does what is supposed to do. Buy it!

It works better than I thought. Now I am trying both the retail and professional products to see which I like better. I am much more used to the retail products and can not recommend them enough.
