Meguiar's M20532 Ultra Finishing Polish

I've been using polishes for nearly 50 years. I began polishing cars as a sideline when I was 16. This technology has sure changed over the years and recently it has seen a significant improvement. That is the result of micro-abrasives. This polish removes nearly all sleeks, swirls and scratches and typically in one pass. The product works well with a rotary or a random orbital buffer and by hand. The finish left is as smooth as glass.

This is what all polishes should be, fast and effective.

My black seven-year old car had very heavy swirl marks after a "detailer" at a car wash removed hard water spots from the paint. The car looked horrible; it looked worse clean than when it was dirty. I decided that there was nothing I could do to make it look worse, so, rather than repainting the car, I decided to try to restore my car's paint. Since I have no experience in using DA polisher or any compounds, I searched the web for the instructions and watched a video (see comments for URL).

I washed and clayed the car with Mother's Clay Bar. Then I used Ultra Cut compound with Meguiar's DA polisher and Meguiar's 7006 cutting pad followed by Meguiar's Ultra Finishing Polish using the same DA polisher and Meguiar's 9006 pad. I saw an impressive reduction in swirl marks and scratches. The black paint looked almost like a mirror. I could not remove every single scratch, but the paint looked much better than before and much better than paint on many seven year old cars.

After Cutting and Finishing compounds, I applied Meguiar's Mirror Glaze and two coats of Meguiar's NXT was. It worked very well. I am extremely happy with the results.

A month later I tried Meguiar's Ultimate Compound followed by Glaze and NXT, but I did not see any significant improvement from the earlier results.

I've been using Meguiars for a few years now and I know that each time they come out with a new product, its been improved. Well, I'm happy to say that since 2008, they have been coming out with amazing products that has completely converted me to 99% meguiars products. This m205 is by far the best i've used even out of meguiars old products and now I kinda wished I bought the M105 as well. Oh well I guess that going to be next on my purchase list.

I have painted many cars and boats and the worse part was polishing the paint after colorsanding. I could never really get a "factory" finish look. WIth the Ultra Finishing Polish and Meguiars 110 volt electric buffer I finally got that "factory" look. Excellent product!

I was looking for something that works as well as ScratchX to remove light scratches from car finishes. Problem with ScratchX is that it comes in a tiny tube and if you use it to burnish a whole car it gets expensive pretty quickly. Well, this stuff is ScratchX in a huge bottle. Same consistency, same awesome depth of shine, same easy removal, everything I love about ScratchX, just no tiny bottle. I follow this up with Ultra Glaze for blacks you could fall into they are so deep. Just a great product overall.

As of my review today, all previous reviewers gave it perfect 5 stars. To that, I say ditto!! Amazing and incredible stuff. Better than the other products i've used. This sounds sounds bogus, but it really creates a deeper darker shine. If you dont believe it, do a search on some videos on youtube. I was sceptic until I used. Now I'm a convert. Believe you will be too. Dont be a scown (Avatar reference lol) and try this. It cost a bit more but all Meguair's research and development into creating this product is well worth it.

Another great product from Meguiars. Used this with a D/A polisher and it took out most if not all of my paint's swirl marks. Mirror finish.

This is a great polish for use after a cleaner coat. Use with Meg's 105 for quick clean up, or use by itself for less damaged areas. Excellent product.

In my years of detailing my cars, I have come to realize ANY product that has Meguiar's name on it is simply the best. I know you can buy more expensive products, I don't think you can buy more effective products!

This is a great product! It can finish down very well with the good technique and skill. It takes the finish up a notch or could be used to take care of minor swirling with the right pad combo.
