This review is from: Meguiar's M8132 Hand Polish - 32 oz. (Automotive)
I found out about Meguiar's Hand Polish several years ago from a tech in the Meguiar's tent at a car show. A couple years later, I mentioned it to a Meguiar's sales person... How do you know about that... its for detail pros only. And I know why, it works super! Got a little blemish, or bud guts or paint scrape from coming too close to the side of the garage, shopping cart scrapes, etc. If there is good paint underneath, squirt a little Hand Polish on a cloth and in about 30 sec of elbow grease and it looks awesome.
Its works great on my machine polisher too. Got an old car with oxidized paint, This stuff makes it look great. Just keep polishing 'til the paint shines. Its not a wax where you put on and wipe off, you keep polishing 'til the paint looks great. When the paint is all polished, it is raw paint so you HAVE to protect it with a good quality wax. On my Fiero GT show car, I use Meguiar's "Hi-Tech Yellow Wax 26", put on about 3 coats with the Porter-Cable Orbiter Polisher, and the shine is blinding. After a good waxing, we can drive to a show in Carlisle, PA, about 400 miles, and a simple hose down takes off all the bugs! I hear that the Hand Polish is being discontinued. Sure hope they have something else as good to back it up. |
