I too like many others purchased these CDs one by one and love every one of them. Whether you start with Volume 1 or Volume 7 , which by the way is phenomenol, You'll end up kicking yourself later for not getting the set to begin with. It's really that good !

This 7 CD set by Mehdi has been a really pleasant addition to my existing collection. All 7 are very well done and it's hard to pick just one as my favorite. This is one set of Cds that you'll play over and over again and many of your friends will ask you "who is that"???. If you enjoy extraordinary instrumentals from the heart, than don't waste your time or money on the individual CDs, The Gift set is definitely the way to go...

The best way that I found to describe this music is this way: Of all the music that I own the music that is must played on my iPod, my home music system, and in my car is MEHDI. This music is truly a gift to your ears and to your mind.

My music tastes runs the gamut; from the Rolling Stones to Delerium, from Depeche Mode to the Chemical Brothers... yet I find Mehdi to fit most of the moods I find myself in these days. This music just makes me feel better, period.

I don't know much about Mehdi, whether this is a band, a DJ, etc, and until this week I only had a single CD, Vol 7. After searching locally everywhere for more Mehdi I came back to Amazon and purchased this 7-vol collection. It's the best $95 I've spent in years. In fact, I decided to get an iPod Shuffle just for this collection, so I can carry it with me everywhere.

If you've never heard of Mehdi and came here by clicking links for "similar" music, from say, Delerium, then I would describe Mehdi as "Delerium without the mania" (and I truly love Delerium). Whereas it is hard, but possible, to find a Delerium track you might <u>not</u> love, it is impossible to find a Mehdi track you don't love.

If you have the slightest interest in this kind of music, you cannot go wrong with this gift set. If you can't lay out $95 right now, then start with ANY Medhi CD, just start listening, it will change your life for the better. It's the best cure for stress that I know of. Mehdi is sublime...

I found Mehdi via Amazon, looking for something similar to Loreena McKinnet's instrumentals. Never mind the one or two reviewers who label this as elevator music. A cheap rendition of Copa Cabana fills that category, and Mehdi is nowhere near that end of the spectrum. Any song from Mehdi's collection is in itself unique and colorful. The music flows softly, allowing you to use it for any occasion: reading, studying, writing, dinner parties, driving, etc. I've even used it for background music while on the computer. It is soothing, calming, and brings to mind your own images of what each note represents to you, personally. I describe it as a soundtrack for your life. Since I found several songs on each cd sample I liked, I went ahead and bought the gift set. It's worth every penny and all of them are unique. Once you hear these melodies, Mehdi will not fail to accompany your every adventure.

This set was actually purchased by my father when it first came out a couple of years ago. Back then it was volumes 1-6 and volume 7 had not been released yet. I had no clue about Instrumental music. I was hesitant at first to listen to Instrumentals because I've always listened to music with vocals and stuff, i gave it a shot, and fell in love. I have made many attempts to find other collections that are even as close to the quality that this one is, and have not been happy with any of them. Over time these cds have gotten scratched or lost, so i took it upon myself to find this set again, and when i did, I was happy to add volume 7 this time, which by the way is absolutely amazing. This is unlike any other instrumental music that you will find anywhere, It's just so beautiful and higly addicting !

The first time I had heard it, I had been channel surfing and landed right at the beginning of a special broadcast about it. It was actually a PBS station that was giving away his CD in exchange for a donation of 100 dollars to the station. That was the first time my ears have ever laid themselves upon the sounds of Mehdi and something inside of me was truly touched.

From that point on, I could not get enough of listening to his music.
If you are one that has a good ear for music, then you know you can feel the meaning behind it. I have been around the music industry since the day I was born and have a passion for all types of music and I really have to say that the feeling behind the music of this artist are some of the most powerful and spiritual that I have ever felt. The passion and the depth of the music he writes is absolutely amazing.

For everything that Mehdi has written for this broadcast, there is a very powerful message that is to heard through his music. It all focuses on acceptance of one another, love, spiritual growth, and sheds a new light on life itself and somehow he can reach out with his songs and give new hope for life itself and the way things can be.

If you are looking for your soul to be touched through music, then Mehdi is your man and this music is your way.

I heard about Mehdi by chance in amazon. He is a talented multi instrumentalist.Mehdi plays a beautiful flute, keyboard, many other magical instrument. The vol 1-7 are all great albums. Mehdi's music is undescribable. He has agreat talent and vivid imagination which will calm ur spirit and heal ur wounds. I recommend this gift set to u,and this set is a ideal choice if u want to give gift to someone u care about. Each of 7 cds are filled with beautiful, soothing,inspiring,magical,unforgettable,passionate,and romantic songs which is filled with great middle eastern rhytm. Mehdi's albums sooths any soul , and it fills up new positive and inspiring emotion. Mehdi writes his own songs, and u will never become tired of his songs. Some tracks keeps u dancing, some tracks made me remember the sad time I had in past, but some track sooths my soul and inspire me to continue the great journey of life. U see his music is a journey of desire, lost love,found love, romantic, soothing and creative. Mehdi has a great vision in making his music. Volume 1 to 7 are all great albums, and each has its own unique style. Relaxing mood and soothing rhytm which you will love to listen more and more. I started with "Instrumental Evolution Volume 7" and it was delivered on a friends birthday. I played it during dinner and everyone just fell in love with the music so I ended up giving it to my friend as an additional b-day gift. I have since purchased 3 gift sets and somehow they have all gone to different friends, family members, and or co-workers as gifts or as loans that have turned into gifts. This music is so good that I can't help but play it for others and the truth is that I don't mind giving it away since I believe that it has enhanced the lives of my loved ones in a very special way. The Gift set by Mehdi is a must for all who enjoy truly beautiful music and since it's not available in most stores, it really is the perfect gift.

Mehdi has managed to achieve through these CD's what no one else has in contemporary instrumental music. He has come up with brilliant melodies. These wonderful, sweet, melodious and tuneful tracks are all his originals. I don't think anyone in instrumental music today can hold a candle to Mehdi's music. It is simply unbelievably that good.

I came across Mehdi 7 years back on our local FM station when they were playing his magical track, "Eastern Sunset." I hadn't even heard of Mehdi then. None of his albums were available in my city. Then, about a month back I heard another song on The Weather Channel and decided to look for Mehdi on the Amazon site. Much to my delight, I found him there. I instantly ordered this Gift Set without even thinking twice. I got my CDs in a few days time and, boy, is it worth every red cent of it. All the tracks are so very tuneful instead of boring, slow and out-of-rhythm mumbo jumbo you get to hear by other new age musicians. Even the so-called "legendary" new age artists are not in Mehdi's league when it comes to musical talent. All the tracks take you to another world where you are lost in the deep soulful melodies.

I have had the CDs now for over 5 weeks and I have been listening to them for about 8 hours a day. I personally believe that good music is about good melodies mainly and a good tune is the hardest thing to find in contemporary music. All the great, household names of today are basically noise. Even the giants of instrumental music pounding away their dull tones and tunes like Yanni, Kenny G or Robert Miles are flat and bland compared to Mehdi. I usually listen to music only from the sixties or seventies and only romantic music for that, although I am 29 years of age and 50+ as you might imagine. I consider it the real music. Mehdi is the only exception from contemporary music I like. In fact, I love his music. I strongly recommend this particular set of albums to all music fans. I think if Mehdi can get himself on a major network TV channel and into the top 40s, he would become the new instrumental giant of today. He has tremendous natural talent. It is not just the Piano-playing skills but the uncanny and rare talent to come up with out-of-this-world compositions. Don't miss out on the musical genius of today, buy this set without hesitation and you'll see how wonderful great music can make you feel !

I stumbled into the name of Mehdi from another artist review and decided, based on the reviews here, to purchase the gift set. The price per CD is good, I had a gift certificate to spend, so .. why not?? I am amazed at what I got for the money. The music is full of variety but is overall quiet and a very nice mind vacation if you need to get away for awhile. I have not been using my MP3 player much until I got this gift set and now I have loaded it up to the max and it goes everywhere in my purse so that I can listen when I get stuck waiting at Dr offices, etc. What a wonderful gift to myself!!!
