I had the pleasure of seeing this fine singer/songwriter at a local club. Just Meiko and her guitar. She was opening for Brett Dennen (also great). Her music has a interesting dynamic. Simple but yet complex. Niave but knowing. Seems like an oxymoron, I know, but the result is hauntingly beautiful. I bought this cd from her that night and haven't taken it out of my car cd changer since. Thanks Meiko!

I listen to the radio about 8 to 10 hours a day, every day, and when I heard "The Piano Song" from this album, it immediately stood out among all the other music I constantly hear. Partially because of it's catchy nature and partially because of the intriguing voice of Meiko - up there with my personal female-voice favorites of Natalie Merchant, Maddy Prior, Fiona Apple, Suzanne Vega, Dido, Dolores O'Riordan, etc. Happily, the rest of this debut CD is equally as great with memorable songs that have a natural, relaxed, honest feeling to them. There are few performers where I feel the entire CD is great as opposed to just one or two songs - this is one of those CDs.

To be honest, I had never heard of her until thurs 10/25. My friends and I were going to see Mat Kearney and she is his opening act. She rocks! Very personable and funny. We all got a picture with her after the show. She's very cool!

Meiko has created a very sweet album of songs, with creative and moving lyrics, harmonies and hooks. I discovered her "Boys with Girlfriends" on the radio (106.1 The Corner) while driving through Charlottesville, VA. After listening to the rest of her songlist, I became a real fan. For me, every song on her self-titled album is a gem. She is one talented artist.

I really get in to this cd. She has an interesting voice and great lyrics.

Truly this Meiko album is a breath of fresh air. I was expecting to hear something more of a Regina Spektorish album but Meiko's is with a twist and the pull of her simple yet seductive voice is insatiable. Kudos!

This is some of the best music I can say I've ever heard. I've listened to ALOT of music, and I must say Meiko is now forever embedded into my memory. This album and I'm sure the albums to come are a must have. Spread the word about Meiko!

Every single track on this thing is quality. It's probably just a matter of time until the big kaboom we'll soon know as Meiko occurs. She is so damn tasty!

KCRW in Los Angeles has been playing songs from her debut album non-stop...

On two separate occasions I've heard Meiko songs featured in "Grey's Anatomy"...

SIRIUS Satellite Radio has been playing the song "Piano Song" on their Left Of Center channel...

My sister has seen write-ups on Perez Hilton.com a bunch of times...

She's all over Yahoo! Music's LAUNCHcast radio stations...

And she's got four big shows coming up in L.A. -- and she's doing it all without a record label's help! Imagine what would happen if she had a record deal!

i am so happy with this album. im so glad grey's anatomy has such good taste in music or i would of never discovered meiko. i love every song but my favorites inperticular are hawaii(beautiful song) ,reasons to love you , and all said and done.
