Need more cowbell? Maybe you just need a better cowbell beater, which this product surely is. Stout, strong and comfortable to handle - Meinl's cowbell beater will make your smaller cowbells ring out strong and provide optimum sound from larger bells.

due to (possible alcohol fueled) enthusiastic beating, this puppy broke on it's second day of use. luckily we were able to find a temporary replacement, but I had hoped it would last a little longer.

It sounds ok, but the wood is extremely soft and dry. No matter how blunt or rounded the edge on your cowbell, it will start to splinter within a few minutes. You are better off making your own or buying another brand.

One of the best companions if you're busting out the cowbell. The ridges offer you another sound other than just hitting it. Nice and thick for an easy grip.

The wood can not hold up to moderate use. It broke on second use. Spend a few more buck and buy better.

As a cowbell beater, it's effective. It sounded like I was in the Alps during an Olympic Super-G when I beat the bell with the cowbell beater. I attempted to play baseball with it as it is similar in shape to a baseball bat but that didn't go well. Don't be fooled, you need a proper size bat to play baseball. Based on the name I attempted to beat eggs with the cowbell beater but the best I could do was stir the eggs. Beating was ineffective. Although, the sound of the cowbell beater against the metal bowl was similar to the sound of the actual cowbell. Someone with proper metal crafting skills could make that a nice weekend project. If you do, please send pictures.

As a cowbell beater, I do not like them. They need to be more dense for that to work. Their length, their balance, and their handle makes them better as stick alternative in miscellaneous hand percussion situations when a lighter strike is warranted. The handle, however, needs to be taped to feel good. Worse, the finish easily chips off after only a few uses. The wood, so far, has held up, but not the paint job.
