Meinl Frame Drum Tipper

This tipper is very attractive, with its dark reddish-brown finish. Mine is 9 3/4" in length and 3/8" wide at grip. It does have off-center turnings as pictured. These do not interfere with my grip, as I grasp the tipper in the center in order to be able to do end-to-end rolls. I may install some tennis racquet-handle tape to make the grip less slippery. I notice right off that while balance seems fine, there is relatively little weight at the ends, so that changes the throw of the stroke. Excellent to add to one's collection for experimentation and experience.

This Tipper works well. Kind of on the light side (weight-wise) but works ok. I prefer a slightly heavier tipper. One thing that bummed me out was the fact that the dark paint/stain comes off when using it. I tried it out for about 5 minutes and it not only marked up my drum a little but the stain came off the tip of the tipper so I'm just going to sand it off a little. A nice tipper to have in your aresenal.

This tipper is very light and thin, and longer than my other ones. I'm not an expert, but I am enjoying trying it out. It's definitely a very long one, but it has a nice balance and it is very pretty.
