The self proclaimed "Mother of All Bandas" is the greatest of Mexico's brass bands. On this all instrumental CD you are not exposed to the whiny, mediocre singing normally associated with banda music...instead you are going to experience some great versions of Mexico's most classic compositions such as El Zopilote Mojado, El Sinaloense, Juan Colorado, Arriba Picataro, & La Chuchis. In addition, El Recodo plays tribute to the Germanic/Slavic roots of Mexican banda music with a very good recording of the Beer Barrel Polka (El Barrilito).
