I've ordered numerous books from Caiman. They have always been exactly as described and I have never had a single glich from this company. The "Mel Bay Dulcimer Chord Book" was exactly what my wife needed in order to better play the Mountain Dulcimer.

After I built my first dulcimer, it took me three years to understand how to play it. Neil's book was the key that unlocked the mystery. And, it fits right in my case!

It would be much better if it were spiral-bound. I find it challenging to keep open when I'm trying to figure out new chords or tunings.

Easy to follow instructions to learn to play the dulcimer without personal instruction, clear and concise with drawings to assist in placement of fingers.

the book is hard to open up while you try your dulcimer...it would have been better if the author split up the books based on how the dulcimer is tuned...

It is a great book. Really explains a lot about Modes and Chords in a user friendly way and how to apply their use in playing.

I love the easy to follow illustrations. My young son is teaching himself to play the dulcimer by using these books I bought for him.

This booklet covers how to tune to 8 different modes, as well as some history of modes, and chord charts galore.

I find this guide to be really helpful. I needed something to help me learn the chords so I could use them when playing, especially in jam sessions. Great little book!
