This review is from: Mel Bay Hawaiian Uke Tunebook (Paperback)
This is a great book for any student of the ukulele, but especially for anyone who loves Hawaiian music. It contains an excellent collection of traditional Hawaiian tunes with chords and full tabs for each song. The book starts with the basics of the uke, reading music and tabs, and special techniques. It is well written and easy to follow for the beginner as well as more advanced players. The only negative I can come up with is the book does not have any of the lyrics for the songs, but all in all an excellent resource for any ukulele player.

This book contains over 50 traditional Hawaiian songs. Problem is, even living in HI, I don't recognize most the songs, making it hard (for me at least) to learn them. With effort, I can hunt down the songs, but it may be a bit harder for someone not living in Hawaii. Otherwise it is a great book. It has scale exercises, technique discriptions, a chord chart, and facts about ukes in Hawaii.

Great tabs for Hawaiian. The songs start with easy arrangements and move the difficulty level up slowly. I don't know all the songs and wish there was a cd, but definitely worth it either way.
