Good challenge, beautiful songs,

This review is from: Mel Bay The Student Cellist: Beethoven (Paperback)
This book will be a challenge for the beginning cellist (1+ years experience). But very satisfactory result--songs come off beautifully, even though Beethoven did not really write any great pieces for cello. Most of these songs won't be readily recognizable--there's no "Theme from 9th Symphony", for example. But well done, beautiful songs and a really good challenge for the beginning to intermediate cellist. If you are looking for music written specifically for cello, better to investigate Bach. But if you want to play beautiful music by Beethoven that will be a challenge, although not too much of a challenge, then this is a great book. Includes full piano accompaniment.
