Great book for beginners,

This review is from: Mel Bay Christmas Solos for Beginning Violin (VOLUME 1) (Paperback)
I got this book a few months after I started playing violin and was able to play all the songs immediately. The book includes a piano score and a separate pull-out booklet with just the violin part. The piano and violin played together make a rich, beautiful sound. Songs include:
Angels We Have Heard on High Away in a Manger Deck the Halls Ding, dong Merrily on High The First Nowell Good King Wenceslas Here We Come A-Wassaling The Holly and the Ivy Jingle Bells Joy to the World O Come, All Ye Faithful Once in Royal David's City The Rocking Carol Silent Night We Wish You a Merry Christmas While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks I particularly like Craig Duncan's arrangement of "Away in a Manger" because it includes both the old and new versions of the tune in the same piece. If you have a beginning violinist and an intermediate pianist in your family, you will have beautiful Christmas music almost immediately with this great book. (They also have corresponding books for viola and cello/bass, but I haven't seen those.)
