facsinating 411 about a very private person, November 26, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Mel Gibson (Hardcover)
Since Mel Gibson is an extremely private person, I was wary about reading a bio because I know he hates the invasion. But this particular writer was not interested in trashing this supersar. Mr. Gibson has led such an amazing, ever-changing life that it is only natural that people be interested in his rise to stardom. The facts about his upbringing in such a large, devoutly Catholic household really impressed me and showed that for the entire Gibson clan, family really does come first... His battles with infidelity and alcoholism only make him seem more human and one can't help but admire the strength of his faith and marriage under such circumstances.
