This book is fun to have. The songs are fairly simple for an advanced player. But a fun change for your spare time.

There is, unfortunately, not a whole lot out there as far as arrangements for viola that aren't made to be accompanied by a piano, or as an accompaniment to something else. My daughter (a 7th grader) has really been enjoying the large number of songs in this book - she even picked one as her solo piece!

There are forty-five lovely tunes both slow and fast in this collection: laments, airs, reels, jigs, and more. All are nicely arranged to suit the viola's mellow tone. Guitar chords for accompaniment are included.
