From the Publisher

With a plot suited to an off-season blockbuster and a cast of characters straight out of Millennial Central Casting, Amber's tale of pre-birth contracts and the far-reaching effects of individual actions is a New Age adventure story to redefine the genre. Since "there are no accidents," when Katrina meets David and Roxy-who are looking for a roommate and a place to live-they form an immediate bond. Their life-paths merge in a mutual goal: it is the latter pair's charge to protect Katrina as she fulfills her own pre-birth contract to attain the Melding, a joining of the lower (physical) self with the Higher Self, and then in her role as teacher to bring fourth-dimensional teaching to Earth's children. The Dark Ones, of course, try to stop her, channeling through Katrina as the necromancer Zeeq: the Lord Angel Michael, the Great White Brotherhood, Commander Ashtar, Lady Commander Athena, and a host of other Lightbodies enlist on the side of the greater good. It's a rousing adventure, written with a fine ear for dialogue and action. What's more, it's true! As Amber assures the reader, characters and events are real and unexaggerated, only slightly altered in detail to protect privacy. However you read it, it's an exciting entry in this year's booklists. NAPRA ReView

The Melding is a cornucopia of metaphysical principles and wisdom. I highly recommend it. Dr. Bruce Goldberg Author, Past Lives-Future Lives and Soul Healing

The Melding is the most grounded cosmic work I have ever read...a real transformational page turner.

Robert P. Doughton M.D. Alternative Medical Practitioner

A terrific and absorbing cosmic thriller. Sharmai Amber is a gifted and talented story teller who brings the reader spiritual gems woven in a tapestry of mystery and suspense. THE MELDING is a book you will want to read again and again.

Vera Armen TV Host, Alive! Body, Mind & Spirit

Wow!!! I could hardly put it down. Thought-provoking, compelling and it propelled me in many of my own circumstances as a Lightworker. The truths in The Melding are worth their weight in gold. I wholeheartedly recommend The Melding. Congratulations on a fantastic book! Nancy McCarthy Publisher, Twelve Star Publishing

With the plethora of self-help books and "enlightenment journey" stories available today, it can be a daunting task separating the wheat from the chaff. Save your energy and narrow the search down to include The Melding...an easy read of difficult subjects...Sharmai is brave to share The Melding with us, considering how personal and intense the occurrences are. That is a grand lesson in itself, realizing that by letting go and removing judgment, the learning and healing can commence-and we can get on with our lives. Stacy Meyn Editor, Baltimore Journal Resources

Sharmai Amber's extraordinary and provocative book, The Melding, is based on an exciting true story. An amazing chronicle of spiritual development, The Melding is an account of a project called Trinity and a process called Melding. The main characters in this spiritual quest, Roxy, David and Katrina, agreed to work with their Guides and each other on the project in a Prebirth Contract.

Spiritual lessons and enlightening information are woven into the incredible effort to accomplish Melding, which merges the Higher Self and the lower self in the physical body.

The Melding is a book which nearly everyone will benefit from, and an excellent book for our "moment" in Aquarian time; helping us to remember "how to love freely and to serve others, simply out of the joy of bringing happiness."

Anne Thiel Editor, Mountain Luminary

This bizarre story of prebirth contracts is a page turner. No doubt some will want to question and deliberate it's contents, but there is no doubting the inspiration it provides to welcome the lessons chosen by the soul. Dina Cimarusti Managing Editor, Evolving Times

The Melding, by Sharmai Amber is another deeply thought-provoking page-turner. This one will push your buttons and your boundaries. Spiritual and otherwise. It reads like a novel filled with intrigue, romance and dark forces, but it is the story of Sharmai (Roxy in the book)... Within the pages of the book I found myself ... deeply challenged to move beyond mundane Earth plane judgements to a broader level of spiritual perspective. Viewing purpose and unfoldment. Perhaps that is the purpose of this book.... Read the tale and decide for yourself. It's a mind adventure. Gloria Reiser Editor, Intuitive Explorations --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful book about individual and spiritual growth, December 11, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: The Melding (Paperback)
I found "The Melding" to be a wonderfully written, richly spiritual and thought-provoking book. Through her autobiographical tale, Sharmai Amber delivers an enlightening message of taking control of life and trusting our higher self and spiritual guides to find our true destiny. It addresses many of the ancient old questions of why we are here, and the purpose of our physical incarnations on earth--and understanding and flowing with change. One of my favorite things about this book were the wise little quotations at the end of each chapter of what it means to be a "Lightworker." I recommend it highly to anyone with an open mind who is searching for individual and spiritual growth.

1.0 out of 5 stars R.L.P., December 14, 1999

I think that the author owes the readers an inside look of her early to mid teen years, where such knowledge and insight must have played a crucial if not hectic mind game with herself and all of those that she tried to take down with her in her attempt to understand "THE MELDING".

5.0 out of 5 stars Intriguing, enlightening, thought-provoking..., April 29, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Melding (Paperback)
Sharmai Amber grapples with her evolving beliefs though a very challenging spiritual transformation. Billed as a spiritual thriller, this nonfiction book sometimes reads like a novel and is difficult to put down. (The author herself calls it a "bizarre true story.") The storyline is indeed both intriguing and amazing, as the author and her then-husband work to unfold and understand prebirth contracts as they join with another woman to facilitate her "melding," or state of being in which both Higher Self and lower self are fully aware of both dimensions simultaneously.

The book is filled with many spiritual ideas and concepts, including prebirth contracts, various forms of soul connections, guides, angels, dark forces, channeling and much more. Emotional issues regarding sexuality are also explored, and while some readers might wince with moral objections, others may find this actually provides a deeper understanding of how spirituality and sexuality can be intertwined. In any case, there is no doubt that this is a very enlightening and thought-provoking book.
