wooden puzzles
My boys (4 y/o and 2y/o) love puzzles, and we have a lot of them. But these are not among favorites. First, the pieces do not have cutout "locks", so they slide easily within the contour -- especially easily because they are made of wood. This makes it hard to put the picture together. *Sorry if the video is not stable** This video shows how to turn this product into a great educational product. Some people have given it negative reviews due to the difficulty in piecing the pieces correctly. This is justified however if you watch the video and see the little tweak you can do to the product, you can see how it will make it fun and educational for your children.

My boys (4 y/o and 2y/o) love puzzles, and we have a lot of them. But these are not among favorites. First, the pieces do not have cutout "locks", so they slide easily within the contour -- especially easily because they are made of wood. This makes it hard to put the picture together. I would think the purpose of a puzzle is to figure out which piece goes where, not to have a perfect dexterity to keep the piece in place while arranging other sliding pieces nearby. Second, the pieces don't fit together perfectly, so even an adult needs to put some effort to push and fit everything within the frame. Third (frustrating!): the upper layer, the one that has a picture on it, started peeling the minute my kids touched the pieces. Not very durable. So, the kids are not excited, and neither am I.
