We purchased this beautiful Melissa and Doug dragon for our 3-year old grandson at Christmas a year ago. At the same time, we bought a book-and-CD set about "Puff," the magic dragon. We thought our little guy would love having his own magic dragon to play beside.

What we didn't anticipate was that this dragon would be such a good monster-chaser. In our grandson's bed, he proved to be a great guardian of the night to help our little guy sleep!

It's now been almost a year since the dragon joined the family. He's been fiercely loved by a little boy. That includes occasionally being "ridden" and "tossed" around the room. And just like another magical dragon, he's still safely (and durably) there.

I bought this dragon for my grandson's third birthday and he absolutely loves it. He plays with it more than any other toy. It also seems to be sturdy and well made. It has truly given him hours and hours of fun. It made me a hero!

This is one of the best stuffed dragons I have seen of this size. It is so sturdy that my 2 1/2 year old "rides" it on a regular basis and it shows no wear at all. Considering the price, that's amazing. Photos do not do this dragon justice. The colors and feel of the fabric are outstanding. Everyone has had the experiance of the catalog image looking nothing like what ends up coming in the mail, this is not one of those cases. This is true quality.

This dragon is even more than you'd expect. It is huge, the colors are fantastic, and its quality is really sturdy. He has a great face, and he is just so lovable. My daughter is 10 and really into Dragaons and I am sure this is the favorite in her collection. A great purchase. Would purchase more of Melissa and Doug items.

I bought this with the intention of it being a cuddle-toy. It is very soft, but is a tad too awkwardly shaped to cuddle with, especially for a child.
The 'skeleton' in the toy allows it to maintain poses, although the amount of posing you can do with it is limited because of its short limbs. Its wings, however, are very poseable. The biggest problem I found with the toy is the skeleton, particularly in the wings, has a high tendency to snap after posing it for a while. Any moderate bending of the skeleton weakens it severely. However, I would like to point out that after both of the wings on mine broke, it became MUCH easier to snuggle with it, so I can't complain too much. The actual tailoring of the rest of the dragon is much more durable in comparison, so it IS durable to some extent.
Another problem arose when I received the toy in the mail, it was packaged so tightly in the box that some of the felt dorsal spines, teeth and claws were deformed, (and still are, even after numerous tries to straighten them.) That having been said, buying one of these at a toy store instead of having it shipped would be highly recommended, even though this isn't very noticeable.
Most children that like reptiles/dinosaurs/mythological creatures would love this toy. It is very adorable and awesome at the same time because of its impressive size and appealing colors, just don't let them be too rough with it. Makes a fantastic gift for any dragon lover.
I give this toy a 5/5, even in spite of the skeleton issues. This dragon's immense cuteness, cuddliness (after the wings broke, of course,) and incredible size overwhelm any cons.

This is so worth the money. I was hesitant to buy a "stuffed toy" for this price, but it is incredible!

It is a nice big size and has movable arms, legs, and wings. It is sturdy, and the colors are stunning.

I was looking for a stuffed dragon from the movie How to Train your dragon, but couldn't find anything accept for over-inflated pricing on one. I chose this instead, and it has proven to be a wonderful alternative!!

Any child will absolutely love this! It will go everywhere with your child. What a treasure!!!

As soon as it came out of the package my kids had to get their hands on it. It has a good weight to it and it is very well made and very colorful with metal wires on the inside to pose it. There really isn't much to pose though given its small legs but the wings are movable and nicely made and not much of a concern about breaking them off. My kids haven't tried to get on its back or anything but with how well its made I don't think it will be an issue. My kids don't really care for dragons so I guess this one is an exception to them. I do wish you could pose the tail and head but there is no frame inside those but it isn't really that big of a deal. My two and four year old daughter love it and with that in mind I have to recommend it to others who have children.

My little one immediately fell in love with her and named her "Tessie". This toy is well-made and durable; she stands up well to being ridden (although I would not recommend that for older children).

This is a wonderful toy - big, sturdy, colorful, and with lots of "personality". I bought it for my son who just turned 8, and even though he's older than the age range says, he loooooves dragons, and immediately fell in love with this one. Heck, it's so cool I wanted one! :)

I bought this for my nephew. He likes to drag it to the living room when there's a dragon on tv. It's a gorgeous toy: very sturdy, and amazingly inexpensive for the quality and size. One warning--buying this via Amazon and having it shipped by Amazon is the best way to go; if you buy it somewhere else and try to ship it yourself, you'll have fun finding a box to fit it in, and it probably won't be cheap.
