This is a good puzzle for my son. He loves the shapes, but I was a bit dissappointed with the top layer of the shapes. It started to peel. Otherwise, a great puzzle.

We got this puzzle and a few others when my sone was 18months. He always picks this one over all the rest to play with. Very easy to learn with.

Our toddlers love these puzzles! They do master matching them up after a few times, but repetition is still great for them developmentally. The Melissa and Doug products are very durable. The paint never chips and the wood stays intact despite being handled by toddler hands. Overall great product!

It's good, except my then 19-month daughter played with it figured it out and moved on. It was good while it lasted :)

very good. Other than the fact my older son lost a piece that we have not found in 11 months, it is in perfect condition.

He still plays with it and it was a wonderful tool to teach him his shapes and help him improve his fine motor skills at the same time. He was a bit slow in those when we got this puzzle and he wanted to do it himself bad enough, he pushed through the 'can't' until he was able to do it. It helped him considerably to manuplate small objects with his fingers.

This is a wonderful puzzle. My 2 year old loves it and is saying all of the shapes. I love Melissa and Doug!

I purchased a few of Melissa and Doug puzzles recently and this was one. It is cute and seemly good quality. However, the puzzles without the "peg" on the puzzle piece are much more colorful and in my opinion, much cuter. Nothing wrong with this one, I just like the others better!

I'm glad we didn't wait until my daughter was 2 years old (it says 2+ yrs on it) to get this. It's very easy, so perfect for a toddler's first puzzle, but I would expect a 2-3 year old would quickly be bored with it. As other reviewers have noted, it's paper on wood, so as soon as 1 piece goes in their mouth, the paper frays and looks terrible. But, we've enjoyed it, and my daughter goes to it again and again.

I didn't give the "fun" aspect as many stars, but it's because I bought it for my three year old. Puzzles like this are sort of easy by now. I bought it because of the shapes. This is the part we are working on now. Very durable though and quick to understand.

My daughter learnt all the shapes within a week. And started pointing and relating shapes of objects around her.
I went ahead and ordered the Color peg puzzle and Number and Alphabets too.
She mastered all those within a week.
